Troy W. Hudson is a professional voice over artist and character voice actor with over 38 years experience in the multimedia production field. He is also a live event emcee, video spokesman and on camera talent for numerous organizations, including his own podcast type series the 5959 Challenge about his personal journey to get healthier at age 59.
He proudly served 6 years in the US Army as a radio/tv broadcast journalist winning multiple national awards for military broadcasting and media production.
From 1990-2000 he worked in the corporate video world for a large US based energy company as a writer, producer, director, video editor, media designer, videographer and voice talent.
From 2000-2012 he worked in a commercial post production facility as an editor and graphic designer where he edited over 600 tv ads and also worked as a part time voice talent.
In 2012, after a layoff he transitioned to full time voice acting and began following his passion of building his own voice over production business which is today "Troy W. Hudson - Professional Voice Overs, LLC". The focus is on delivering the ultimate in high quality productions with compassionate and unrivaled customer service and the highest business integrity, while delivering each "Voice Over with Personality!"
He has produced thousands of hours of audio content for clients all over the world, daily delivering commercials, narrations, explainer videos, character voices, children's stories, phone messaging, audiobooks and the occasional video - all from his home studio in northeastern Georgia.
A large part of his business is eLearning and he regularly works on projects with return clients having relationships that date back a decade because of his ability to communicate technical content in a conversational way quickly and dependably and because he is easy to work with.
He is the current and past voice of nearly 500 videos for the wildly successful TopThink YouTube channel as well as the voice for the popular Alexa skill for Volley's "Word of the Day" for the last 5 years. He was a prominently featured English voice actor for the 2020 French documentary "Notre-Dame; Our Lady of Paris" broadcast on ABC. He was the national spot and tag announcer for Jerry Seinfeld's 2019 comedy tour.
He is the former video host of his own live weekly show "Voice Over Weekly Stew" on multiple social platforms and was the host of a live national video game show weekday mornings called "Word of the Day Quiz" for backchannel.tv
He mentors other VO artists and volunteers with Learning Ally producing children's audiobooks to assist kids with learning challenges
