It’s GI bug and URI Season!

For the last two weeks, I have not been online as much in the sense of social media, email, or blog posts. Reason: sick kids! The GI bug hit the house courtesy of school aged children!

-The skeletons illustrate how we have felt!

-Sharing is caring, but not in this aspect!

-I have been up to my eyeballs in bodily fluids, particularly vomit, laundry [towels/blankets], and thank God for zofran!

-There have been doctor appointments and one ER visit.

-All are on the mend, and at least there’s a sense of humor. My son chose the illustration above. He loves skeletons!

Silver lining: We have had impromptu family time with all on the mend.

Sapna Shah-Haque Internal Medicine Physician

Dr. Sapna Shah-Haque, MD is a board certified Internal Medicine physician. She was born and raised in Kansas, and attended medical school at the University of Kansas [KU] School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at KU-Wichita as well. After experiencing burnout herself, and watching other physician colleagues burn out, it became a passion of hers to look into different aspects of burnout. While the system does need to change, as it is broken, this podcast is a way to reach physicians and possibly shed light on what is not an isolated situation.
