Grief

Grief is a very hard emotion to process, and it can often feel overwhelming and isolating. It can be hard to talk about, and yet it is one of the most common emotions we experience when we lose someone. It’s not just the death of a loved one that can trigger grief, but any kind of loss, including the end of a relationship, a job change, the loss of a pet or home, or anything else that brings a major life change.

Grief is complex and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Everyone will experience their grief in different ways and for different lengths of time. It may also manifest itself in different ways, such as anger, denial, sadness, guilt, and shock. Each of these emotional responses has a purpose and a meaning. It’s important to allow yourself to experience all of these emotions without judgement.

It’s important to remember that grief is a normal and necessary process after a loved one passes away.

Experiencing grief can be overwhelming and many don’t know what to expect or how to navigate the feelings that come with it. Grief can take many forms and vary greatly from person to person. While everyone experiences grief differently, there are some common elements that are important to understand.
