Embracing the Gift of Aging

Aging is often misunderstood. Society may portray it as a
period of decline or loss, but in truth, growing older is a privilege, one
denied to countless people throughout history. Each year we live offers the
rare opportunity to deepen our understanding, to explore new passions, and to
connect more meaningfully with others.

In my role at the senior center, I meet many people some see
themselves as seniors, but there are  those approaching later life, who do not embrace
aging as a stage of Growth, fulfillment, and joy. Over the next few posts, I will
explore how to accept the passing of time, cultivate inner beauty, carry
ourselves with grace, pursue meaningful passions, and ultimately triumph in a
life fully lived.

Whether you are just beginning to face the realities of
aging or have been living with them for decades I hope my thoughts
encourage  you to see the privilege in
growing older, to value the experiences that shape us, and to engage fully in
the remaining chapters of life.

In addition, I was the Department Head for Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a professor both online and in person at the University of Phoenix (Canada) from 2000-2010.

I also worked with Special Needs students. I gave workshops on curriculum development and staff training before I fully retired
