That Intuition Thing

Have you ever had a bad feeling about something, and your “bad feeling” came true? Or perhaps you had a “good feeling” that came true?

Ever hear a voice in your mind that tells you something that saves your life? (This has happened to me 3 times, not that I am counting.)

Ever “see” something in your mind and it came true? Or perhaps you see things around you that other people don’t. You just don’t say anything because people might think you’re crazy right?

(You’re not crazy by the way.)

Many people around the world hear, see, or feel something deep inside of them that often turns into life-saving information. Are they special people or can we all do this?

We can all do this.

It’s that intuition thing people talk about.

It’s just like the Law of Gravity. This law works whether you believe in it or not.

In fact, you can call it anything you like, and it will still work. How about calling it the Law of Staying on the Ground?

Doesn’t matter. Still works.

Oh you don’t believe in the Law of Gravity?

Still doesn’t matter. Still works.

Your intuition (also called your Inner Voice) is the same. It’s going to work regardless of whether you believe in it or not.

So how do you recognize your intuitive gifts?

Consider changing your thoughts around the concept. You might notice that I don’t use the word “psychic.” Why? Mostly because of the bad reputation that word has. It makes people think of crystal balls, con artists, and grifters. I prefer the word intuitive.

Also, if something comes so easily to you that you assume everyone can do it, that’s a sign it’s one of your unique gifts. For instance, you might think it’s a breeze to pick out a wrong note in a song—but guess what? Most people can’t do that.

Everyone on the planet has this gift, though we each tap into it differently. Some people see the answers either in their mind or the world around them, while others hear them like I do. Some feel the energy, and others simply know the answer. A sudden idea or thought appears in their mind that is always spot-on.

Here are three (3) ways to help you tap into your intuitive gifts.

First, I suggest that you start to trust your gut reactions. Intuition often manifests as a physical sensation or a strong feeling about something. By acknowledging these feelings and reflecting on their accuracy over time, you can strengthen your trust in your intuition.

Where did that gut reaction come from? Was it something you heard in your mind? Did you notice something? Was it simply a feeling deep inside you? Or did you just suddenly know it? Pay attention to these feelings.

Second, write them down as they occur because you’ll notice a pattern. It’s a bit like that game of connecting the dots we all played as children. Simply start to pay attention.

Lastly, go find a very quiet place and turn your Technology off. Bring a pen/paper with you.

Now close your eyes and just be for a few minutes. Allow the thoughts and images to wash through your brain.

  • When an image comes to your mind, write down what it was.
  • If you hear words in your mind, write them down. It doesn’t matter if it sounds like your own voice, write it down anyways.
  • If you feel something in your body, write down what it was. Was it a good feeling or bad? What were you thinking when you felt it?
  • Did a thought just download into your brain? What was it? Write it down. It doesn’t matter if it’s your grocery list, write it down anyways. After a few tries, you’ll get something that never occurred to you. It might even be embedded in that grocery list: milk, bread, eggs, yes go, cheese… wait, what? I should go to that party?

As I said, just pay attention.

How do you know if it’s your intuition? What you write down is most likely not something you would normally write, see, or feel.

Do it a few days in a row and then read what you wrote down. I think you’ll be very surprised by the answers you receive.

And if this process doesn’t work for you? Take a walk and just pay attention. Pay attention to your thoughts, what you see around you, what you hear, what you feel when you walk into a store. Write them down on your phone. Eventually, you’ll notice a pattern. Keep going.

You totally got this my friends.

Until next time,

Katharine
