Author, Public Speaking Instructor & Digital Nomad Ivan Wanis Ruiz

Welcome to a new edition of the Famous Interviews with Joe Dimino series. On this episode, we talk with author, public speaking instructor, and digital nomad Ivan Wanis Ruiz.

Broadcasting from his current base in Toronto, Ivan shares insights from his book End Boring and his journey to becoming a top-rated communication and leadership coach. In his early 20s, he traveled throughout British Columbia delivering interactive workshops on racism and violence prevention to youth.

After university, he experienced Burnout across multiple careers — Finance, sales, nonprofit work, and academia — but through those failures, he discovered his superpower: transforming boring communication into engaging, high-impact experiences.

Today, Ivan travels the world delivering workshops and Coaching leaders on impactful communication, presentation skills, and leadership development. He’s also a passionate salsa dancer — a skill that even informs his dynamic teaching style.

This is an inspiring story about resilience, reinvention, and mastering the art of powerful communication.
