I Love looking back over the past twelve months, not just at what I wore, but at what YOU loved most. So today, we’re counting down the Best of 2025, based on the number of shares across my social shares plugin.
Quote of the day: “I want AI to do my laundry and dishes so that I can do art and writing, not for AI to do my art and writing so that I can do my laundry and dishes.” Joanna Maciejewska
While I usually share my bests and worsts at the end of each year, our Where Bloggers Live prompt for this month was a wrap-up.
And I decided to share this year’s most-shared posts from 2 categories:
Need fun and positive content? Make sure to sign up for my emails. You also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.
Confession…I don’t know how these shares really work. If someone repins something, does it count again? Who knows.
But I appreciate it anytime you share anything I create. So thank you, thank you, thank you.
And while I’m sharing the fashion posts, I also love sharing about Health, wellness, thoughts, ideas, and even pets. So let’s just say I’ve expanded over the years.
My daily outfits posts have become one of my favorite parts of this blog. I’m constantly trying to wear the new things I’ve discovered, as well as what’s already in my closet.
It’s true life in the Filogomo household, as some outfits don’t take the cake, while others are an Education in new ways to wear the old items.
You get to see an abundance of accessories, eyeglasses, and hairstyles in these daily looks.
I have no idea which outfits were shared the most, but I’ll give commentary on a couple of my faves.

Left: I was psyched to finally come up with an alteration of this colorful material that I liked. It first came as a dress, but was way too unshapely…even for me. I cut it down the middle to be a kimono, but it still wasn’t right.
Until I found a top worn by another creator that I decided to copy. And voila…I love it.
While it’s a “summer” top, I decided to layer it for the cooler weather.
Right: This dress is from ages ago…even seen all layered up for winter in Denver. This time I tried belting it and adding in non-matching booties.

Left: This blue “crochet” piece used to be a dress (worn over another dress for a winter wedding). But it was never easy to style, so I cut it down the middle to make it a topper. I wore it over a simple navy sweater dress (worn for a funeral) with bright pink accents.
The “scarf” is a handknit headband from this yarn (it knits up fast and is super warm), and I’m wearing my most favorite winter earrings (still available on Amazon)
Right: I wouldn’t say this is a favorite outfit, but I LOVE the color combination. These corduroy pants were a steal (still available but not in this color) when LOFT had a sale (which is every day, right?).
Pairing them with a bright lime green sweater takes the boring out of winter outfit style.
I topped it with a camo blazer (it was found in the men’s section) that I’ve worn with a pink skirt in the past.

Link to post Whew…this week was hard to pick 2 favorites. I loved them all (except Wednesday).
This was during my clothing rental time, so many of the pieces I sent back…Boy, I miss that rental feature.
Left: This fabulous sweater (from Just Be Youtiful) worked so perfectly with these print joggers from the rental place. I also included my favorite detached collar with feathers and embellishments.
Right: Then this maxi shirt dress from the rental place…it seemed too overwhelming by itself, so I love how it transformed with these pants and leaving it open on the bottom. And yes, I used magnets to keep the dress more open.

Link to post, I have to admit, I kinda liked all the looks this week.
Left: For Valentine’s Day/our anniversary, this is what I wore to one of our favorite places to eat…it’s called Valentines. They have local and unique food, and both Rob and I dressed to the nines and got a TON of compliments.
My friend, Catherine, gave me the cardigan and purse, and they were perfect for the day.
Right: I chose this outfit because 2 things are worn “wrong.”
The skirt is actually a top…you saw it here
And the topper is worn upside down to make it shorter…view it longer here.
Plus, I adore these OTK boots.
These are the longer, more educational posts, the ones where we go deep on a topic, break down the styling steps, challenge the outdated rules, and offer real-life examples from the fabulous women on my team.
And this year’s top-shared articles surprised me in the very best ways.

I understand how this did so well…seeing examples side by side is my favorite too.
It makes me think I should do this type of post more with other shoes or clothing. What say you?

I had no idea everyone would like this so much, since in my community, most women our age don’t wear skirts. Obviously, I have a ton of red skirts.
In fact, after creating this article, I decided to see if I could layer them together. Here’s the video that I made.

I had no idea this would be so popular. The prompt was a last-minute decision by our Thrifty 6 group, and while I didn’t absolutely adore how my look came together, I still stand behind the concept. Sometimes the first reiteration isn’t the best one.

This was a wonderful suggestion from Gail about how not to look old-fashioned if you still prefer matchy-matchy looks. Gail asked if I could give ideas of how to “Jodiefy” a look, and my crew happily obliged.
Valerie mixed vibes, Lesley used non-matching shoes, I used texture, and Charlotte had fun with contrasting accessories.

I’m so glad this one was included because I always love to showcase my husband’s looks, too. There are times when a crew member can’t make the outing, and if we need a third person, Rob can sometimes join in, depending on the prompt.
And neutral winter outfits are perfect for men and women alike. In fact, let me just brag that Rob is wearing one of my hand-knit creations as part of layering neutrals.
Lesley showcased a monochromatic look while I added in pops of color.

This blog is never just about clothes. It’s about creativity, permission, confidence, and joy.
Every share, every save, every comment tells me that women want to have fun with style, at any age, with any body, at any stage of life.
Thank you for showing up, trying new things, asking questions, experimenting with your closets, and wearing outfits that spark happiness.
Here’s to an even more colorful 2026.
Because getting dressed isn’t something we have to do…
It’s something we get to do to have fun.

What is Where Bloggers Live?
It’s all kinds of different prompts that started with our homes and have evolved to all different kinds of fun prompts.
Who doesn’t like to peek behind the scenes and hear all about the personal backstories and interesting details? The best part of this group is that I learn something new from everyone’s different perspectives.
FYI, we don’t all post at the same time since we all have different schedules and live in different parts of the world.
