I played around with a couple of different style ideas…not all were my favorite, but you never know until you try, right?
My emails are my way of sharing fun and positive content with you from all the sites I visit during the week. Sure, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.

SUNDAY
I Love this dress, but sometimes it can seem a bit too sweet. If you want to see/hear the entire breakdown, I created a TT video.
So I tried to add edgy elements (in the summer, it’s harder because I can’t just throw a black leather jacket over it).
I tried for silver accents instead:
-Silver strappy heels (thrifted for $2)
-Chain belt looped across and held with a safety pin
-Bendable necklace worn as an upper arm bracelet (like Xena the warrior princess)
-Statement earrings
-BIG HAIR (it helps, I think)
-My newest glasses from GlassesShop where you can save 35% with my code JODIE35.
MONDAY
So I’m cheating on Mondays, and sticking with my workout clothes since our Yogalates class is in the middle of the day…basically.
In the summer months, I like shorts with the leggings shorts attached, among other options.
I also tend to choose my bigger t-shirts for some air circulation.
My Orthofeet sneakers are hands-free, so perfect for our class.

TUESDAY
I wanted to wear these lime green linen pants that I’ve had for over 6 years. I rarely reach for them myself, but Lesley styled them for me when we styled each other.
This time, I unzipped the zipper at the bottom hem of the pants so they weren’t so narrow.
Then I added this vest (Lesley wore it with beige pants, and I fell in love with it so I had to scoop it up from Just Be Youtiful).
I just wore a grey bralette under the vest, and I only buttoned the top 2 buttons to give it more flow.
Then I added these ivory sandals, and I experimented with a head scarf. I usually just wear a scarf in my hair as a headband, so I wanted to try something different. I saw this idea on IG and thought it worked great for my curls.
I would have loved a blue/green scarf, but this pink/green scarf is all I had.

WEDNESDAY
Well, I tried that idea to use a scarf to pull in the material at the back of an item. I don’t love how it turned out, but maybe next time I will do it differently.
For instance, with the crochet topper, I could have woven it through the holes like I did the ends.
Or I could have rolled it up so it’s not triangular.
I love the idea, just not the outcome for this outfit. But I always think it’s good to showcase both the failures AND successes.
I wore this crochet cardi when working, so I’ve had it for over 12 years, and you’ve seen it before. The green maxi was thrifted years ago, and then I added my favorite big brooch from Just Be Youtiful at the waist.
Sandals were won in a giveaway from Naot years ago.

FRIDAY
I’ve really wanted to wear this swim cover-up (seen in this article on me about halfway down) differently. So I took the side ties and instead of tying them to each other on the sides, I crossed the front ones around the back and the back ones around the front. Then, I skirted the front panel and used an elastic in the back. It’s complicated, but I like how it turned out.
It’s over a bodycon dress from years ago, and then white sparkly sandals.
I think if I played around more, I could find other ways to origami this cover-up. The print is super and is perfect for our summer. Why not?
My goal with my daily looks post is to find things that help inspire you with my daily outfits and to bring a smile and kindness to your life. I truly think that clothing is our way to express our personality visually.
