After wearing a hand-knit top on Saturday, I tried to continue that theme throughout the week. You may think that 100-degree days and knitting don’t go well together, but I think I disproved that pretty well.
My emails are my way to share fun and positive content with you from all of the sites I visit during the week. Sure, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.

SATURDAY
This mint top is one that I recently finished knitting…and it needed help.
It ended up being way too big, and I almost gave it away.
Instead
1-I threaded yarn through the top to pull in the neckline
2- Pleats were created on the sides to pull in extra material, and then I covered up the area with a silver heart button on each side
3- I used a drawstring at the bottom hem to pull it up and make a looser silhouette.
Maybe not the best hand-knit top ever, but that’s life.
I figured everything is better with sequins, so I wore a sequin mini skirt.
It was cooler today, so I wore sneakers and added a brooch to the top of each sneaker.
SUNDAY
This top is one of my faves because it fits well right from the start and is a blend of different yarns.
I paired it with this pink denim skirt that you’ve seen styled with different colored jackets/toppers.
Two scarves are being worn… one is more evident in the headshot at the top of this article.
1-Sequin skinny scarf styled around a baseball cap
2-Pink scarf (made by my mom from leftover material from our original crew’s matching tops)
I’m keeping the pink scarf in place with cardigan clips on my shoulders and a brooch in the middle.
Snakeskin sandals were chosen as a neutral yet more interesting option than just tan.

MONDAY
Another cheat outfit since we are going to Yogalattes. After class, we are going to get a massage, so I will add a white sweater vest on top to make it seem more out and about ready.
But then again, this skirt may be an activewear skirt, yet it looks cute and stylish, right?
I swear these Croc sandals have been one of my best purchases this summer.
They are available in other colors, and if they go on sale, I’ll buy another pair.
TUESDAY
This is the dress I knit years ago. It’s made from ribbon yarn, so it’s not as warm as you might think.
The reason it’s so many colors is that I had to keep buying more of the yarn to finish it…preplanning was not my specialty at the time.
I added a scarf at the neck—I just wanted to lay it under, but it poofed up. Otherwise, the color of the yarn at my neckline is terrible with my complexion, and makes me look sick.
I used 2 bendable necklaces as a belt and then held them together with a shawl pin, attaching a tassel to hang from it.
This trick was showcased in a FB video.
I Love these Betsey Johnson sandals, but they aren’t comfy. I may try to stretch them with my bunion stretchers.

Wednesday
Have you seen the videos of wearing vs styling? I realize that I’m a maximalist, so I wanted to see how many accessories I could add without adding too much heat because it’s going to be 112 degrees today.
I knit the top, but it’s a tad long for me. The skirt is a favorite from Just Be Youtiful and was worn to Puerto Rico.
My styling:
1-Tuck in the top and tie the attached belt in a square knot so I can add a brooch. After this photo, I adjusted the brooch to attach it to the top of the waistline so it didn’t sag.
2-Big, lightweight earrings
3-Statement rings
4-Small scarves on ankle ties of sandals. I tried it on the front strap too, but liked it better on the ankle area.
5-Flower tied to a shoulder strap (it’s a choker necklace, but I used it as a pin). Notice the sparkling brooch in the center.
BTW, a video of this transformation is on TT.

FRIDAY
Another day, another knitted top. This halter top is slightly long, so I used my beltless belt to shorten it. Of course, you could use any belt for this trick, but it’s nice to have one where there’s no buckle creating a bump.
I had these silk pants out because I was going to wear them, and then didn’t. You’ve seen me wear them with a variety of colors in the past. But this is the first time I’ve used a print.
Red rope sandals, a brooch at the neckline, and a red bandana in my ponytail (that’s sticking out a tad funny) finish off the look.
My goal with my daily looks post is to find things that help inspire you with my daily outfits and to bring a smile and kindness to your life. I truly think that clothing is our way to express our personality visually.
