There is a theme for my daily looks this week, and that is comfy for our 100-degree heat. Granted, this week was a somewhat cooler week (in the low 100s), but there are still 5 key ways to stay cool. You’ll read more about that next week.
My emails are my way to share fun and positive content with you from all of the sites I visit during the week. Sure, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.

SATURDAY
This top is the last item from our thrifting adventure a week ago.
The shape reminded me of the one I saw at Evereve. It’s also the reason that many of my strapless/backless bras don’t have to keep the girl so high and mighty…it’s loosey goosey.
The only reason I paired the top with these shorts is that I had planned to wear them on another day (and didn’t).
Quite the color combination, eh?
Then I wore Naot sandals I had won in a giveaway years ago, and my bendable necklace around my bicep.
And with strapless tops, I Love statement earrings, so these shoulder-scraping ones looked perfect.
SUNDAY
This top was another option I thought about wearing for our tropical print prompt. It was also originally worn on our Caribbean cruise in 2020.
And if you receive my emails, you’ve seen how I even styled it as a scarf.
I wore the top over a spaghetti strap dress, but the proportions were off. Thus, this video shows how we can be the boss of our clothes.
Many times, it’s not the clothes…it’s how you style them.
I wore a printed sandal and blue beaded earrings.

MONDAY
Nancy was here, and we were off looking at different independent living communities.
While it’s hot outside, it’s always chilly inside, anywhere you go.
I’ve used this skirt as an example for my color recipe in the past.
One of my friends on Instagram has been sharing style hacks and transformed her sheer shrug in one of her posts.
I took inspiration from it and tied the ties behind my neck and then used a brooch in the front.
TUESDAY
I found these pants on Poshmark years ago and even showcased them with different colors.
At first, I thought they could be P.J. bottoms, but there is a clasp and zipper in the front, so they aren’t. But since they are silk, they feel wonderful in our heat.
Today, I paired them with the print linen blouse that I buttoned wonky months ago. I tied the front ties in a knot.
And tan sandals because we will be walking a bit.

WEDNESDAY
I have to admit that a t-shirt dress is one of my favorite kinds of dresses because they can easily be casual or dressed up.
The fact that this one is a cool print material even makes it better (I won it in a giveaway).
While I like the fact that it’s loosey goosey, I “ruched” it up with my bracelet and elastic trick (video here) and then added a brooch on top.
Since I had bling with the brooch, I wore my blingy sandals and heart earrings. Yes, I wear hearts all year long. Because I believe love is always the right answer.
FRIDAY
This is one of Rob’s favorite dresses. It was handed down to me by my friend, Stacy, who joined us on the blog back in Denver.
Then my mom shortened it for me, so it has 2 points of history that I always think about when I pull it out.
To add color, I wore:
-My favorite platform summer sandals are because they are so comfy, since the “material” is a silky fabric, it’s not so hot or confining. I know they look high, but the platform makes it very comfy.
-This belt was leftover material when my mom shortened this dress for me.
-I used a scarf clip to hold the scarf together.
-Colorful earrings and rings finish it off.

My goal with my daily looks post is to find things that help inspire you with my daily outfits and to bring a smile and kindness to your life. I truly think that clothing is our way to express our personality visually.
