I know my definition of cooler days is different than yours, but after the heatwave we had a couple of weeks back, the weather has been cooler and ideal for April.
My emails are my way of sharing fun, positive content with you from all of the sites I visit during the week. Sure, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.

SATURDAY
This split halter top was backordered from StyleWe, but I just received it, and I wanted to try wearing it.
Again, my code, JODIE20 gives you a discount on StyleWe’s site.
I wanted to have fun with the print top, so I paired it with my green plaid shirttail skirt (from Just Be Youtiful). I origami-ed the skirt so the ties aren’t just in front…the function of the one gold brooch was to hold the ties in place.
Then I added a scarf near my face since black isn’t great for me. And added 2 more brooches to create a diagonal line.
I wore my green Cariuma sneakers (and I thought they were going out of business, but I see they have a store on Amazon).
SUNDAY
I feel like I hadn’t worn this dress in ages (seen back in Colorado), so I pulled it out.
It’s been a tad windy outside, and we usually walk to church, so I came up with the idea to layer this skirt under the dress as insurance.
I wasn’t sure about the skirt when I bought it because it’s a heavy material, but because it stands away from my body, it’s very comfy even in the heat.
The loafers and socks add a different vibe to the look (and very different from my usual from 10 yrs ago).
BTW, these glitter socks are buy 3, get 3 free. I have them in many colors because they are lightweight and can be worn with most of my shoes and sneakers.
Dark blue jewelry to tie in with the footwear choice.

MONDAY
Not a usual outfit for me. There’s an event at Just Be Youtiful with this group named “Black and Bling” (because they Love to wear black and lots of bling).
So I had to pull out my black dress, and I layered this short, tiered skirt over it.
Black print sneakers with black lacey socks and loads of bling.
Then, surprise, surprise, it was chilly this morning, so I wore this gold cardigan on top. I’ve had this long cardigan for ages, and even wore it for a wedding idea back in 2016.
TUESDAY
It’s Yogalates day, and my 3/4 leggings are hidden under my skirt.
I figured, why not wear a sequin skirt…every day is a blessing.
This t-shirt is one of my favorites….it says
“World’s Okayest Wife.”
Then I layered a cropped sweatshirt cardigan and decorated it with brooches.
The boatshoes are a new trend; here is a similar pair.

WEDNESDAY
Another fun day styling and showing style tricks with Just Be Youtiful at a fashion show.
Today, I wore a white gauze dress with this silk wrap skirt (made out of a sari) over it. I’ve shown many ways to wear this “skirt” and today I love how the ruffle of the dress peeks out under the skirt.
I’m wearing a white crop top under the spaghetti strap dress, and then this shell necklace to cover the differing necklines.
Gold Mary Janes and gold earrings to finish it off.
FRIDAY
Since the rest of the week was skirts and dresses, I figured it was time to pull out a pair of pants.
I wore these brown lightweight jeans with my black and white polka dot halter top.
Since the halter strap is orange, I pulled orange into the look with my new sandals, an orange scarf as a belt held together with a flower pin (from Just Be Youtiful), as well as orange glasses.
