Daily Looks: Week Ending 2.27.26

I haven’t been as good about making sure I wear a lot of color and variety in my daily looks, but here’s what I put together…

My emails are my way of sharing fun and positive content with you from the sites I visit during the week. Sure, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.

SATURDAY

Not my usual Saturday outfit, but we are off to a free Pilates class that is OUTSIDE.

I’m wearing my fleece-lined tights along with leg warmers, AND the fuzzy things on my ankles are really the hand warmers I knit (you can see how they should be worn, but they work well to bridge that open area between leggings and shoes).

I have on a long sports bra (thrifted) with my new lime green sweatshirt (only because it was on the bureau, ready to be put away from the laundry cycle) -you saw it worn for Yogalates on Monday from 2 weeks ago.

I’m even wearing a fleece jacket over it, along with my lined beanie…so extra warm.
The pink sneakers are thrifted and usually only worn for dog walking.

But by the end of class, I was down to my t-shirt and leggings.

SUNDAY

This is a “summer dress” pictured in a frame in our bedroom (if you get my emails, then you saw it)…and I wanted to “winterize it” for my friend, Marsha, in California.

I’ve shown 6 other examples in the past, but my favorite idea is to just throw a sweater over your summer dress.

Of course, I had to “Jodiefy” the sweater…it’s worn backwards (seen here worn normally), I tucked in the turtleneck somewhat, and then played around with the D-rings to create a bigger opening.

I attached a self-belt to the tie, and then pulled it around my waist, through the D-ring, then back and tied it to the beginning.

I showcased how I did this in a TT video.

Silver sequin booties with silver socks plus a brooch at the neckline to finish it off.

BTW, my mom made this dress from sari material ages ago.

MONDAY

This isn’t my normal Yogalates outfit, but I decided to try throwing my Halara “jeans” over my leggings…only because they were sitting on my dresser.

Then over the t-shirt, I added my blazer from a company you’ll read about on Monday called TaleThread…it’s super similar to eShakti.

Insider tip: Code, Jodie gives you 10% off at TaleThread.

Then I wore my new Blowfish sneakers, and I have to say I’m a huge fan of the zipper along the side to get them on and off.

I added a brooch above the waistband button, and it looks like there are double buttons.

TUESDAY

This blazer is one of those very unique and bold ones. I’ve only worn it once before with black shorts.

Today I wore it with a white skirt, and I pulled the back of the blazer together with a brooch to open up the panels in the front (seen in my email). I also added a brooch to the button in the front.

I wore pink socks and my grey and white boots (which are only $35 plus used code COMFY10 for a discount).

I wore my Kozakh earrings (code Jodie20) and left my hair down because I was trying out a new curler, which is Jodie-proof (meaning no burning my neck and easy peasy).

WEDNESDAY

This was a suggested outfit from the styling company called Cello. I was basically beta testing their services, and now they have launched.
They have offered my readers $20 off a full Cello styling experience with the code Jodie2026.

You wouldn’t think I would be open to something like this since I Love styling my clothes, but it’s so eye-opening to have someone else combine your clothing items.

Anyway, these jeans have been worn tons (shown as how to wear wide leg pants), and this sweater is one that I embellished myself (worn with shorts this winter).

The outfit was called “Jofully Embellished,” so I figured it would be appropriate to add scarf bows to my shoes.
I also added a scarf around my neck, held together with a ring.

THURSDAY

Hmmm…basically the same color combination as Tuesday, but it happens.

We are off to a new Pilates class, so I threw these pants over my leggings and put on a sweatshirt with a t-shirt under it.

I added the glitter cardigan (zipped up in the back only) because we are going to the movies later, and it always seems cold in the theater.

The extras:
-pink Cariuma sneakers
-I held up the sweatshirt with an earring
-wearing a leopard neckscarf

How To Wear Green As Pops Of Color

Welcome to Jodie’s Touch of Style. I’m here to prove that it’s never too late to look great. Clothing and style are meant to showcase your inner personality. So let’s have fun and try new things.

It’s not just about me on this blog, but also about my mother and friend. We get to showcase not only different decades of life but also different body shapes and unique personal styles.

Jodie's Touch of Style showcases how it's never too late to look great including other older women and myself talking about fashion, beauty, and lifestyle issues.

As a retired dentist, Jodie takes her love of clothing and shopping and has come to find her superpowers in styling the same item in many ways. She is also a huge advocate for embracing our age and bodies. Getting old is a wonderful thing and learning to love ourselves while it happens is very freeing.

Looking great can happen no matter what age, shape or budget, as we show on Jodie's Touch of Style.
