Well, we had a cold spell this week…cold for us that is, so I tried to take advantage of layering. Not like when I lived in Denver, but some layering is hidden.
My emails are my way of sharing fun and positive content with you from all of the sites I visit during the week. Sure, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.

SATURDAY
We are off to the Heard Museum for their Indigenous Hoop Dancing Event.
I thought this leather piece skirt that my mom made was very appropriate, and I wore a denim shirt with a blue fuzzy top (buttoned incorrectly to shorten it), AND I then layered this scarf (worn the 4th way from this FB video).
This scarf is on sale because the boutique is going out of business.
I accessorized with my turquoise jewelry and my animal necklace, which used to belong to my aunt.
Brown riding boots finished off the look.
SUNDAY
This is the sweater I was DIYing and referred to in a recent email. It started off like this. It was too long in the body, and the sleeves and hood were overwhelming (and yes, it’s my size).
So I cut off the long parts, created a cardigan out of it, and found this orange trim to add to it.
I also had a snap in my sewing things to hold it together in the middle.
I wore it over this white jumpsuit (worn for all white night on our cruise), but I may cut up the jumpsuit. It’s not my favorite.
Funny story is I added the scarf after breakfast when Rob noticed the rear seam ripping and exposing some, and I didn’t want to change for church.
But I Love how the scarf adds more color to the look.
I added my favorite colorful booties and colorful accessories.

MONDAY
The usual…off to Yogalates, so I’m wearing my leggings and t-shirt/sweatshirt, and then throw a cute skirt and boots over it.
This time, the skirt is from a set I wore in Puerto Rico as one of my dinner-time looks.
The sweatshirt has a new style, but the same important message:
KINDNESS is free…sprinkle it everywhere.
The leggings are from a new company I’m trying out, and the boots are from the 80s…I’m so glad that I kept them.
Halara gave me a discount code, JODIE123, for 15% off any full-priced item.
TUESDAY
The other item from Halara that I videoed was these jeans…except they are sweats. OMG…it’s like being out in pajamas.
Again…use code JODIE123 for a discount.
I wore my hand-knit striped sweater over my eShakti dress, which I DIY’d into a tunic…Today, I wore the tunic backwards and origami-ed it to be a tad shorter.
See the video of the origami project on FB.
And yes, the booties again. I only have a bit more time until it’s too hot, so I’m trying to get my use out of them.

WEDNESDAY
Yep…it’s the DIY comforter again, only this time I paired it with these camo “capris?”…I’m not sure what to call them.
They used to be pants (worn on Thanksgiving and, funny enough, the day before I wore the comforter as a skirt), but I decided I’d wear them more if they were shorter. When cutting them off, I decided to keep the pocket longer. Maybe a tad strange, but it’s also unique.
And to the comforter vest, I added the fur collar that Rob wore recently. I just pinned it in place for the day.
I wore knee-high socks, boots (seen with bright pink before), and an orange sweater.
FRIDAY
I haven’t worn this sleeveless velvet dress much (although you saw it by itself with white cowboy boots).
But I wanted to wear my “new” cardigan, and I thought they worked together.
The cardigan is the top half of the jumpsuit I wore on Sunday. I turned it backwards, ripped out the zipper, and added trim to the sides…I included the back shot at the top.
I’m going to use the pants for another project.
Because it was chilly today, I wore a sheer top under the dress (seen in the last photo from our Alaska cruise) and knee-high socks with my boots.
