In the Viewfinder: Why “Variety”
Welcome back to In the Viewfinder, a regular inside preview for supporters of The Venture Lens and The Venture Variety Show.
This week, a quick note on the podcast’s name.
Despite what a recent guest jokingly asked me, The Venture Variety Show is not about talent acts or circus tricks. Though to be fair, I can juggle, and I used to be able to ride a unicycle.
The “Variety” name is for a few reasons. I wanted the podcast to have that old timey/talk show vibe. But it’s also about the many roles that make the venture community interesting: founders, investors, platform operators, marketers, technologists and attorneys, among others.
My goal is to capture that spectrum of voices and share them with you in every episode.
