Faster and cheaper than “fast” food
Momma, let’s talk about FAST food. 🌱
Not drive-thru fast.
REAL fast.
After my last post about the connection between ultra-processed foods and childhood asthma, a few people asked me…
“But what do I eat when I’m busy?”
I get it.
As moms, we’re often taking care of everyone else first.
So here are 15 of my favorite quick grab-and-go foods that nourish your body and take little to no preparation:
🍉 Watermelon
🍎 Apples
🍌 Bananas
🍊 Oranges
🌴 Dates (nature’s candy and packed with nutrients)
🥜 Raw nuts
🍇 Grapes
🫐 Berries
🥒 Sliced cucumbers with a splash of vinegar, olive oil, and a pinch of sea salt
🥕 Fermented carrots (one of my personal favorites!)
🥑 Half an avocado with sea salt
🥬 Green smoothies loaded with superfoods (ask me for some ideas from my shop!)
🥭 Dried mango or other unsweetened dried fruit
🥒 Celery with hummus
🥗 A giant salad with whatever vegetables you have on hand
The truth is, many of these options take less time than sitting in a drive-thru line.
And here’s something I’ve learned on my own healing journey:
The more whole foods you eat, the more your taste buds begin to crave them.
Simple starts tasting amazing.
