It’s getting to that time of year when skirts and dresses rule. Granted, it’s earlier than usual, but if it’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s smarter to dress for the temperatures, not the calendar.
My emails are my way to share fun and positive content with you from all of the sites I visit during the week. Sure, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.

SATURDAY
This is a dress that Valerie handed down to me after wearing it for our matchy-matchy post.
I did wear a pink cami under it and added a lime green belt along with my green mules.
I added 4 bangle bracelets and wooden earrings.
For the summer months, I plan to wear the dress alone with my bra tape.
SUNDAY
And remember this skirt that I cut off the 2 tiers to make it sassier?
Today I layered a white ruffle skirt under it (from Just Be Youtiful) and wore it with a white graphic tee.
I haven’t worn my extensions lately, so I wanted to see how they’d work with a scarf headband.
White socks and white sneakers, as well as a brooch at the waistline and jewelry.

MONDAY
It’s Yogalates day, with my capri leggings and t-shirt with this skirt.
This skirt is very special…it was in the sewing container when my friend passed, and she was making it as a dress for one of her grandkids (years ago, because it was small).
But the skirt of the dress had enough pleating in it that I knew it would fit me, so I cut off the top of the dress, hemmed it, and added elastic for the waist.
I also used the “top” of the dress to add pockets to it (they didn’t turn out perfect, but hey, it was my first attempt at pockets).
I wore pink mules and added a scarf as a flower on my shoulder.
TUESDAY
I just finished knitting this green sweater (if you get my daily emails, I’ll share all about it next week), so I had to style it.
Since I’d been in skirts all week, I grabbed an old pair of print pants (worn back in 2019 as what to wear with print pants).
The sweater gapes when I lean forward, so instead of throwing on a Halftee, I layered it over this striped top (worn off the shoulder in the past).
Then I had to add in another color, so I put on my cat flats (they have similar ones still available) and yellow accessories.

WEDNESDAY
We are off to a fancy lunch as part of my New 60 celebration, so I thought it was only appropriate to dress like springtime.
The crew all wore this skirt with different colors in the past, and at that time, my pink gingham shirt was a hit.
So today, I wanted to try the same print mix idea with something else in my closet.
I couldn’t find a top that worked like I wanted, so I grabbed this dress (and you’d never know it was a dress, right?)
I wore these flats (only $25 and use code COMFY10) along with my sheer pearl socks.
I extended my necklace with a bracelet, and wore some turquoise/blue jewelry.
THURSDAY
We are off to a chair Pilates class (and then errands afterwards), so the “top” is really my sports bra, and I’m wearing capri leggings under this skirt.
I wore this skirt as a top last summer for a nautical theme.
The sweat jacket is zipped in the back about 6 inches to make it a wrap. And then my orange sneakers.
BTW, the ties on my sweatjacket were just hanging and annoying me, so I tied them up.
