There’s something funny about the word miracle. Especially, the little miracles in everyday life.
Our Where Our Bloggers Live is discussing life’s little miracles, and I’ve been thinking about my style evolution lately and how this would fit the bill.
Quote of the day: “Growth and comfort do not co-exist.” Ginni Rometty
I’m going to throw off the covers and expose a bunch of my early thoughts and obsessions. At first, you may be puzzled about how they fit into the little miracles in everyday life, but stick with me.
In fact, if it weren’t for these little miracles in everyday life, I would continue to be the stressed-out, overanxious woman that was me in my youth.

Somewhere along the way, we started believing that only the big moments count.
Those milestone birthdays. Our huge accomplishments. The before-and-after transformations.
But if we wait for those moments to feel good, we’re going to spend a lot of time… waiting.
Because real life?
It’s made up of Tuesdays. Of errands. Of trying to decide what to wear when nothing feels quite right.
And that’s exactly where the little miracles live.
Those are the moments that quietly change how we see ourselves. And I truly believe that how we see ourselves is a huge foundational element of life.
It’s not given to us as a child, and it takes years and years to figure out.
And you might not consider them miracles, but I do. Because it’s made my life so much easier and calmer.
I broke it down into 3 categories, and they really are my little miracles in everyday life.
I hope you join my email Family. It’s the place where I share things even before creating on my blog. It’s also my space for fun and positive content. In addition, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is being part of my community, where we inspire and lift each other up.

Let’s start with something that used to take up way too much space in my brain.
Food and my weight.
For years, it was tied to:
It’s exhausting. IYKYK.
But here’s the shift that changed everything for me: focusing on eating more produce, protein, healthy fats, and cutting back on processed sugar.
I’ve even written about it.
–Focus on nutrient dense diet
–Sugar addiction
People will say it’s too hard. Maybe.
But who wants to feel bad? It’s like knowing that eating a donut for breakfast makes you feel awful, but you do it anyway.
Then again, if you’ve never eaten healthy, maybe you don’t know the difference in how good you can feel.
Once you know…Then I don’t consider it hard because feeling bad makes life so much harder.
The little miracles in everyday life from this?
My body feels good. My clothes always fit (even during Menopause when all of my friends reported that menopause belly…I didn’t).
I don’t step on the scale and have a bad day because the scale showed a certain weight.
It’s huge for me because these things are a change from when I was younger.

This is not the first time I’ve shared about my pale legs (including a fabulous excerpt from Reader’s Digest).
If you’ve ever had something you were self-conscious about for years… you’ll understand how my pale legs caused me so much angst.
I think back to high school and the fact that I didn’t try out to be a cheerleader because I would have had to wear those short skirts, and my legs were too white.
Isn’t that wild? And a tidge sad. How can something like that hold so much power?
Fast forward to now…And it’s just not a thing anymore.
I don’t think about it. And I certainly don’t feel the need to “fix” it. My body is my body, and I have finally grown to Love it, and I take care of it.
This is the season when I hear many women apologizing for their non-tan legs or talking about tanning creams.
Everyone is at a different point in their journey, but I don’t miss that.
I just… get dressed.
And that freedom? It feels so much bigger than it sounds.
Because it’s not really about pale legs.
It’s about releasing something that used to take up mental space, realizing you don’t need to carry it anymore.
That’s definitely one of my little miracles in everyday life.

This one might be my favorite. No surprise to those who regularly read my articles.
In fact, I’ve shared many ideas about this:
–My self confidence journey
–Rules I wished I learned sooner
–Ditch the age code
Because after years of playing with style, trying trends, and figuring out what actually works in real life (not just on paper), I’ve realized that the biggest changes don’t come from buying more…
It’s about having fun.
If you knew me when I was young, you’d know that this is a huge shift for me.
I grew up with rules and that ever-present idea that an outfit had to be “flattering.”
I still see it today in many of the FB groups that I’m part of. Someone will post a photo of a pair of pants and ask which colors go with them.
Of course, my answer would be EVERY color. Yet I realize not everyone thinks like me and is open to new possibilities.
This little miracle in everyday life creates a lot less Stress when putting together an outfit. Sure, not every outfit turns out perfect, but that’s me…perfectly imperfect.
Besides, I just talked about how the bad outfits are your best teachers.
I have learned how to have fun with my clothes.
And I think that the result is a huge gulp of freedom.
And if there’s anything I could give to you, I would give you these freedoms. The freedom of eating right so your body is the best it could be…not just for its looks but for function and how you feel.
Then also the freedom of releasing that “thing” that causes you angst, as well as the freedom to play with your clothes and showcase your personality with an outfit.
I was a bit shocked by how all 3 of my little miracles in everyday life created freedom for me. And maybe that’s why I LOVE this period of my life.

None of these shifts started with one event or at one time period. There wasn’t a single moment when everything suddenly clicked.
They happened slowly through small decisions, little experiments, and letting go of things that didn’t serve me anymore.
And that’s what makes them so powerful.
Because they’re sustainable. They show up every single day. And they quietly make life so much better.
So maybe the goal isn’t to wait for the big, life-changing miracle. Instead, how about we try to notice the little miracles in everyday life?
This isn’t about a perfect plan or what works for everyone; it’s just what made a difference for me.
