As we gear up for the 1:00 PM Eastern, May 20, 2025, meeting of the Impact Cherub Club, we invite you to join us. The club meets to review impact investments that everyone is eligible to make and that virtually anyone can afford. We share responsibility for completing basic due diligence before making investments. While members are encouraged to invest in the Club’s picks, no one is required to invest.

The Club is open to all “Impact Members” of the SuperCrowd (our paying subscribers). I don’t touch the Money members invest. They do so directly for their own accounts. We benefit from new members by the fresh perspectives they bring and our growing social impact. Please join us!

Next Meeting—May 20, at 1:00 PM Eastern

At our next meeting on May 20, 2025, at 1:00 PM Eastern/10:00 AM Pacific, consistent with our plans for future sessions, the agenda will have three items:

  • Diligence Reports

  • Post Mortem

  • Preliminary Consideration of New Candidate Investments

  • Short-Fuse Offering

I’ll review those items in reverse order.

Short Fuse Offering

Each month, including at our next meeting, we quickly look at a short-fuse offering—one with too short an offering window for our two-meeting review cycle—that I pick for the group’s consideration. This pick will be chosen between now and the meeting on Tuesday. Join us to find out what I picked and how the club votes!

New Company Consideration

After some preliminary screening, I’ve shared some candidate offerings with the members of the club to choose which we’ll review this month. Members chose the following:

PittMoss

PittMoss is transforming the Gardening industry with its innovative, peat-free soil products made from recycled paper and cardboard. These sustainable alternatives not only outperform traditional peat-based mixes in plant Growth but also significantly reduce water and fertilizer usage. Recognized by major publications like Better Homes & Gardens, the company has generated over $5 million in revenue and continues to expand its reach among nurseries, greenhouses, and commercial growers. Investing in PittMoss supports a greener planet and a thriving business. PittMoss is raising on Wefunder.

SenoGuard

SenoGuard is pioneering a transformative approach to breast Cancer treatment by offering a radiation-free alternative following lumpectomy. Their innovative Technology utilizes cryoablation—freezing residual cancer cells during surgery—to eliminate the need for weeks of post-operative radiation. This method significantly reduces patient burden, especially for the 28% who face barriers like distance, cost, or time constraints. Post Mortem

Each month, we’ll take a look at one of our past investments, including both failures and successes, to see what we can learn to improve our due diligence for new investments we consider.

Diligence Reports

We’ll begin with the due diligence reports from the Impact Cherub Club members who volunteered to research the companies after we briefly learned a bit about them last month. After hearing the members’ reports, we’ll vote to determine whether or not to recommend investment in the companies. The decision will be made available to all Impact Cherub Club members, including those who don’t attend this month. Register here.

Here are the companies we’ll learn more about this month:

Playper

Playper is an award-winning, eco-friendly toy company dedicated to creating sustainable, build-it-yourself playsets and storytelling card sets that inspire open-ended, hands-on play.
