60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey: When Is a Delay Something to Be Thankful For?

  1. 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey: When Is a Delay Something to Be Thankful For? 2:30

Hello to you listening in Newport, Washington!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk With 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga.

It’s taken me upwards of 7 months or more to renovate my Quarter Moon Story Arts website. I had hoped to launch it this week but there’s a small technical challenge.

You might think I’m pretty lame taking all that time to create a website when some folks can do it in 24 hours on SquareSpace. So, what’s the story? What took so long?

Looking back on the road I walked, the road that won’t be walked again, I see that I have been walking toward my work. I have been walking toward my Who. Who am I? What do I have to offer? To whom? How will it help them?

Sure, there are some who will say I took too long; but maybe they don’t know about the great Louis Armstrong, world class jazz musician and trumpeter who said, “It’s taken me all my life to learn what not to play.”

Question & CTA: What’s the story behind what took you so long to learn? When you are ready I can help you find the words you didn’t know you had to tell that story.

You’re invited: “Come for the stories – stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, would you subscribe, share a 5-star rating + nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, and join us next time!

Diane Wyzga Story Guide/Coach, Podcaster, Speaker & Trainer

Remember the first time you rode a bike and took your hands off the handlebars? And then because it felt fun and scary you did it again until you were streaking down a hill with the wind blowing in your face and your hands up over your head screaming, “Look ma! No hands!” That’s been the story of Diane's life. Showing up - maybe scared but not afraid - because when you fall down 7 you get up 8.

With 30 years in healthcare, business, law, higher education and storytelling Diane created a niche the world needs: helping socially conscious professionals and organizations connect, engage & succeed by crafting the stories that communicate their message.
