  1. The Art of Preventing Stupid: Matthew Davis on Legal Preparedness for Small Business Owners 37:24

Matthew Davis brings a wealth of knowledge to entrepreneurs looking to build strong, sustainable businesses. He emphasizes the importance of setting up the right legal structure, like an LLC or corporation, to keep your personal assets safe. But he doesn’t stop there—Matthew also talks about the value of strong, clear contracts with clients, vendors, and employees to avoid future headaches. Above all, he believes in putting your clients first and focusing on building lasting Relationships, rather than chasing quick wins or personal recognition.

What really sets Matthew apart is his focus on company culture and teamwork. He shares how things like firm retreats and team-building activities can help create a positive work environment where everyone is aligned with the company’s mission. As businesses grow, especially when expanding into new markets, keeping client care and team collaboration at the heart of the strategy is key. Matthew also recommends tools like Scaling Up to help businesses stay organized and efficient while scaling—because the best kind of Growth is one that keeps everyone on the same page.
