Rally for the OVA

The independent voice for more than 240,000 Massachusetts veterans is at risk.

The proposed FY27 budget cuts funding for the Massachusetts Office of the Veteran Advocate by 50%, threatening the future of the nation’s first independent veteran advocacy office.

This isn’t just a budget number.

It means fewer advocates, less oversight, and a diminished voice for veterans and their families across the Commonwealth.

Veterans answered the call when our country needed them.

Now they need us to answer the call for them. I am committed to amplifying this message. If it is the Massachusetts Office of the Veteran Advocate today in 2026, what will be cut in the future?

Please share this message. The link to contact your elected officials will be included below. Any help in raising awareness is appreciated as efforts begin to restore funding through the supplemental budget process.

Together, we can ensure Massachusetts veterans continue to have an independent voice fighting for them every day.
