Medellin, Colombia – Day 2
Phil met me this morning and we headed off to do two of my favorite things. First, we went to a market, one of the largest in the city, Plaza Minorista. Though it was a Sunday morning, the place was packed. It’s a huge market that sells just about everything. We stuck with the food areas, mostly looking at fruits and vegetables. Surprisingly, I knew what most of the fruits and vegetables were.

Since leaving home for Europe alone at age seventeen, Karen Gershowitz has traveled to more than ninety countries.
