Leslie spent her distinguished career at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, becoming an internationally sought-after speaker. Today, she brings her deep knowledge of people, Relationships, and sexuality into the world of fiction writing.

Her upcoming novel, Fission: A Novel of Atomic Heartbreak (to be published in January 2026), is inspired by her parents’ stories of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, during the Manhattan Project. The plot follows a Love triangle between a young mother and a Soviet spy—based on real revelations of espionage at Oak Ridge.
