William’s story is a powerful reminder that it is never too late to pursue extraordinary goals.

He didn’t begin running until the age of 42, yet he went on to accomplish something achieved by only a select group of people worldwide: completing the Marathon Grand Slam by running a marathon on all seven continents and at the North Pole.

Now 60 years old, William continues to challenge himself, completing three to four marathons each year while adding even more remarkable achievements to his resume. Since finishing the Grand Slam, he has completed the Abbott World Marathon Majors and taken on the legendary Everest Marathon, one of the most demanding endurance races on the planet.

William shares the lessons behind these adventures in his book Cross the Lines, encouraging readers to embrace challenges, pursue meaningful goals, and refuse to let age become an excuse for inaction.
