Born in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, John dreamed early on of being an adventurer and exploring the world. After years of working multiple jobs to fund his training as a pilot, a rare medical condition abruptly ended that dream. Pivoting from heartbreak to inspiration, John reinvented himself—eventually walking away from the corporate grind at age 32 to finally pursue a life of Travel, meaning, and storytelling.

Today, he’s the author of more than 10 books focused on purpose, fulfillment, and living an extraordinary life. When he’s not writing, he’s out in the world—kayaking, surfing, playing volleyball, or exploring with his Family.
