Our 6 Favorite Discount Stores in Arizona

It’s no surprise that I Love a good deal, but I love a great find even more.
So I thought it was high time to share both Cathie’s and my 6 favorite discount stores in Arizona.

Quote of the day: “The connective tissue between your failures and your successes is the lessons you learn along the way. It is only by going through your early attempts (usually failures in some form) that you accumulate the insights, skills, and understanding required for success. Everything is a lesson. Learn enough lessons, and the failures become useful.” James Clear

Arizona, especially the Phoenix area, is a goldmine for anyone who enjoys mixing high-low fashion, experimenting with style, and stretching a wardrobe budget without sacrificing personality. It’s like I’ve always said:
Great style doesn’t cost a lot.

For this article, I leaned heavily on my good friend, Cathie, who joins us often as one of my blog crew members. She’s possibly even thriftier than I am and has lived here her entire life.

So she and I brainstormed our six favorite discount stores in Arizona to share with you.
These aren’t places you run into quickly. They’re places you explore. And if you love a deal, you’re going to want to save this list.

The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.

Last Chance In Phoenix

1. Last Chance

1919 E Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85016

Let’s start with the one that’s practically legendary if you are a Nordstrom fan. Last Chance is the clearance outlet after Nordstrom Rack, so it’s a markdown of already marked-down items.

If you’ve never been, here’s what you need to know: this is not casual shopping. This is a full-on experience. It’s usually chaotic, with a lot of pushing and shoving. Seriously.

Expect racks packed tight, shoes in bins, and an ever-changing inventory. Prices are deeply discounted, but the real win comes when you slow down and look closely.

Why we love it:

  • Designer brands at jaw-dropping prices
  • Incredible shoes, jackets, and statement pieces
  • Perfect for someone who enjoys the thrill of the hunt

Jodie-style tip:
Go in with an open mind. You may not find what you planned to buy, but you’ll probably leave with something far more interesting.
I liken this to a garage sale…it can be messy, and there can be a crowd, but in the end, it is worth it.

Rec;Ectoc As Favorite Discount Stores In Arizona

2. Anthropologie Outlet-Reclectic

5000 S Arizona Mills Cir, Tempe, AZ 85282

If you love the store Anthropologie, then this place is a must when talking about discount stores in Arizona.

Anthro can be pricey at full Retail, but the outlet allows you to play with their signature aesthetic at a fraction of the cost.

It’s not just Anthropologie, it’s also items from sister brands like Free People and Urban Outfitters, along with some items from Anthropologie’s rental program, Nuuly (which you can also find online).
Plus, at times, there are also some home decor items and men’s items.

BEWARE—there are no fitting rooms. People just try things on in the aisles, so make sure to wear something easy to fit things over or under.

Why we love it:

  • Beautiful fabrics and thoughtful designs
  • Huge store with SO much merchandise
  • Fun accessories that elevate simple looks

Jodie-style tip:
There’s a section of items that need mending or aren’t perfect for only $7. If you are creative and can sew or upcycle, this is a must-visit area.
For example, I found a linen, striped blouse in the section. It was missing all of its buttons, but that was an easy fix.

6 Favorite Discount Stores In Arizona

3. Tanger Outlets

6800 N 95th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85305

Sometimes you want the thrill of a deal without the chaos, and that’s where Tanger Outlets shine.

With multiple locations around Arizona, Tanger is a more traditional outlet shopping.

Why we love it:

  • Brands you know and love, like Chicos, Banana Republic, and H&M
  • Fitting rooms make for trying on ease
  • Easy to shop multiple stores in one trip

Jodie-style tip:
It’s common knowledge that outlet store clothing is made especially for these outlet stores. Which means sometimes the quality isn’t the same. Look closely at items, but be open also, because I have found great items.

Goodwill Bins

4. Goodwill Bins

515 N 51st Ave #170, Phoenix, AZ 85043

Phoenix isn’t the only place you can visit the Goodwill bins, but it’s one of Cathie’s favorites, so I had to include it.
Also known as the Goodwill Outlet, this is where clothing is sold by the pound. It’s messy, unpredictable, and can be incredible.

This is not for the faint of heart, as things are dirty and unorganized. But if you love a deal, this is where it’s at.
It’s also in a sketchy part of town, so go with friends.

Why Cathie loves it:

  • Insanely low prices
  • Vintage, unusual, and one-of-a-kind pieces
  • Perfect for DIY or creative styling

Jodie-style tip:
This is where it can be feast or famine. You may not find anything one time, and loads another time.

Dillards Outlet In Phoenix

5. Dillard’s Clearance Center

7621 W Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85033

If you like department store quality without department store prices, the Dillard’s Clearance Center is a must-stop around Phoenix.

Unlike regular Dillard’s sales, these clearance centers carry deeply discounted merchandise year-round, often with additional markdowns.

Why we love it:

  • High-quality clothing at serious discounts
  • Great place for dresses, coats, and shoes
  • Less chaotic than some outlet environments

Jodie-style tip:
Try things on. Sizes and brands vary wildly, but the payoff can be incredible when you find something that fits like it was made for you.

Amazon Bins

6. Amazon Bins & Liquidation Outlets

4020 N 67th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85033

Last but not least are the Amazon bins and liquidation outlets, which have popped up all around the Phoenix area.

These stores sell returned or overstock items, often with pricing that drops by the day. Yes, it can feel random, but that can be part of the charm.

Why we love it:

  • You never know what you’ll find
  • Great for accessories, basics, and surprises
  • Prices can be shockingly low

Jodie-style tip:
This isn’t just about clothing. You’ll find all types of products here. Amazon also has free warehouse tours in 20 different states. We went on one, and it was AMAZING.

Why Discount Stores in Arizona Are Worth Exploring

What I love most about shopping at discount stores in Arizona is that not only is it good for your wallet, but it can also be good for your brain.
Many items may not be things you would buy normally, and while I realize many stylists will tell you that you shouldn’t buy them, I disagree.
Sometimes my most creative looks include something I bought only because it was a steal.

Cathie and I hope that we inspire the idea that fabulous style is NOT dependent on a huge budget.
These stores give you room to play, to try new things, and to build a wardrobe that can feel personal.

Some of my most complimented outfits didn’t cost much at all; they just required time, curiosity, and a willingness to see possibilities where others might not.

Final Thought

If you live in or are visiting the Phoenix area, I encourage you to step outside traditional shopping and explore these discount stores in Arizona. Go with a friend, wear comfortable shoes, and give yourself permission to browse without a plan.

If you would rather be a tourist when you are here visiting, I have you covered with that topic too:
Cheap things to do in AZ
Hidden gems of AZ
Historic places in AZ

Remember-style doesn’t come from the price tag; it comes from how you make something yours.

And trust me… the best finds are usually the ones you didn’t expect. Maybe you have a list of things you “want” but sometimes it’s the things you “found” that are even better.
