SATURDAY

I recently bought this t-shirt as a fundraiser for a friend, Melissa. Her dog and Piper play together when we go to each other’s houses.

I’m not usually matchy-matchy, but I had fun wearing the tee with these striped pants and multicolor sandals.

I created a knot on the side with the extra tee material, but then bunched it in a rose shape instead of leaving it long.

SUNDAY

A simple dress, but I made it “me” with 2 things:

1-Shoes that don’t match, yet look incredible IMHO (although on TT, there were over 1K comments that didn’t agree)

2-My bendable necklace worn as a bracelet. I really like it as a bracelet because I can tighten it after it’s on my wrist, and once I put it in place, it doesn’t move around and jangle like bangle bracelets do.

The dress is thrifted. I think the only reason I bought it is that the brand is Kate Spade.
If you are a size 10, I see it’s available on eBay. Or here it is in a size 4.
It’s 100% cotton, so perfect for our weather.

What you don’t really notice, so I used a close-up for the title photo, is how the dress neckline is low. Yet I’m wearing my leopard Ruby Ribbon bra, and it looks like part of the dress pattern.

MONDAY

There was not much to do today, so I put together an outfit to try. The shorts and cami seem very exposed, so I opted for sneakers.

After yesterday and all of the comments on TikTok that the shoes didn’t go with the dress (Sunday’s look), I wanted to try another option with the idea.

I had to “Jodify” the cami:
1-To hold the neck together so it didn’t gape open. I did this with magnets, and then the necklace even magnetized to them, so it stays in place.
2-The bangle bracelet trick, only this time I put the bracelet on the outside and the elastic from the inside to create a ruched hole.

Shorts and cami from Just Be Youtiful, and shoes from Cariuma.

TUESDAY

After my foray with the red capris and realizing I could wear them in the cooler months, I pulled out these pants that I always think about for winter.

I’m not sure why I think about them in winter, because the material is very lightweight. It’s probably because of the colors and the fact that I bought them in the winter months.

This is how I styled them back in those days.

But they are perfect for our hot days because they are loose and lightweight. So I paired them with a yellow cactus t-shirt and green sandals.

A metal gold belt and statement earrings finished it off.

THURSDAY

We were off to run a bunch of errands and then have friends over for happy hour.

I wanted to keep exploring the idea of mismatched shoes, but this time I added 2 other elements with the same color (a bracelet and my glasses).

I’m wearing a thrifted maxi skirt, but I made it a tad shorter with my beltless belt.

Then I wore this faux leather tank top and added clip-on earrings attached to the straps since it was too hot for a necklace.

FRIDAY

This outfit was put together because this top was a contender for an upcoming blog post…it didn’t make the cut, so I thought I’d wear it for a normal day.

I’ve worn this top with a denim skirt a long time ago, and it’s one of my faves. It’s a great length that I don’t need to worry about tucking vs untucking, and it has an interesting trim around the neckline.

Today I paired the top with orange long shorts (isn’t that oxymoronic…long shorts?) And then added my Cambiani sandals, where the top part is changeable.

Insider tip: I Love these sandals, but don’t recommend the patent leather straps. My blue ones have cracked, but my leather ones are fabulous.
