Thus, I thought it appropriate to give 2 American Hat Maker reviews for these gifted hats.

Hats aren’t just a fashion statement. I believe that they can be one of the smartest style choices we can make.
As I say about every clothing item out there, they aren’t all created equal. So just because you didn’t think one type of hat looked good on you, don’t discount them all, please.
Before we even get into the details, let’s address the comment I hear all the time:
“I’m not a hat person.”
As I’ve discussed before, this is not true.
Most of us just aren’t used to seeing ourselves in hats.
It’s not that they don’t look good; it’s that they feel unfamiliar. There’s a real and true phenomenon about it.
Yet hats can be the cherry on top for so many reasons. They cover up a bad hair day, they shield you from the sun, and they can add personality to your look.

There were a couple of details that I loved about this Roxy hat. The bold red color immediately caught my attention. Granted, it also comes in a softer pink if you don’t want it to be as bold.

When I saw that the Kaira hat came in this spice color, I was smitten.
Granted, it also comes in natural and aqua if this color doesn’t do it for you.

Both of my hats came with “Perfect Fit Sizing Inserts” that are sticky and fit into any hat.
Now I’m not sure if this is because both hats I chose were one-size-fits-all type. But I think these inserts can be very helpful.
Stylist tip: Last year, I discovered a magnetic hat clip, and it works with both of these hats to make carrying around easier.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love a good thrift find. But I know some women don’t do thrifted hats. And while you can get a good deal secondhand, sometimes new is better for these reasons:
–Structure. Sometimes hats mold to the owner’s head over time, so a new hat starts fresh on YOUR head.
–Hygiene. A new hat will be cleaner as it’s never been exposed to another head, and most people don’t think to clean the insides of their hats.
–Wear. Hats can take a lot of abuse, so thrifted ones can be stretched out, faded, or coming apart. With a new one, that isn’t the case.
I admit I don’t know a lot about the different hat brands, but here are the things I noticed with my American Hat Makers hats.
–Quality. The materials feel durable, like they are made to last.
–Variety. There are so many types of hats for men and women.
–Comfort. If it’s not comfortable, it’s not going to be worn, so I thought these were incredibly lightweight, and the material felt good on my head. PLUS, they both came with inserts.
–Sizing. Many of the hats come in a specific size as opposed to a one-size-fits-all. This can be helpful if you have a smaller or larger head. If you are unsure at all, they offer a phone number to talk to an expert hat fitter.

–Fast shipping. They even claim it’s fast like a cheetah, haha.
