For this month’s Where Bloggers Live prompt, we’re sharing some of the things in our homes that help us get through the day. While I could talk about my bed, my closet, or even my husband, there’s one item that I honestly rely on more than almost anything else: my phone.
Quote of the day: “My favorite type of mental toughness is not forcing one path, but being open to many paths: Whatever comes my way, I can handle it. Whatever resources I have, I can make it work. Whatever the day brings, I can thrive.” James Clear
True confessions: I was a very slow adopter when it came to cell phones. In fact, there was a time when I didn’t see why I needed one at all.
Fast forward to today, and I have to admit that I couldn’t get through the day without it.
Of course, it’s not really the phone itself that I depend on…it’s the apps. These are my favorite apps that I use almost every single day, whether for fun, staying organized, creating content, or making healthier choices.

Rob and I play Connections, Strands, and Spelling Bee together every day. Then each of us tackles Wordle on our own, along with the Hard Sudoku puzzle.
I like to think of it as brain exercises, but maybe it’s pure Entertainment?
I won’t say we always win the games or get it right, but that’s how we learn, right?
If you’re looking for a fun way to challenge your brain, these games are definitely worth trying.

Since blogging and social media are a big part of my life, it’s no surprise that these apps get used daily.
Some days, I create and post content. Other days I’m scrolling for inspiration, catching up with friends, entering giveaways, or seeing what creative ideas other people have come up with.
Insider tip: Some people say there is too much negativity on social media. I have found that if I engage with the positive accounts, that’s what the algorithm shows me. So ignore the ones you don’t like, and soon you’ll only see the posts you do like.
One of the things I Love most about social media is that it allows me to connect with women all over the world who share similar interests in fashion, Health, and living life with confidence.

Okay, technically this isn’t an app, but I use my camera every single day.
I take at least one selfie daily, and I’ve felt like I’ve talked about how everyone should do this. Heck, if my mom, at age 88, can do it, then you can too.
Sometimes an outfit looks one way in the mirror and completely different in a photo. Taking a quick picture helps me see proportions, colors, accessories, and overall balance much more clearly.
I think we can learn about our style this way, and it’s not hard to do at all.
Plus, I save photos of outfits I really love. It’s like having my own personal style catalog that I can revisit when I’m standing in my closet wondering what to wear.

When Rob and I are grocery shopping (which is often), Bobby Approved is one of the apps I use most often.
It helps me quickly evaluate food products and ingredients so I can make more informed choices. While I don’t believe eating has to be perfect, I do believe in choosing real, whole foods whenever possible.
There are times something we want isn’t “Bobby Approved,” but it’s nice to know the reasoning behind why it gets a red mark instead of a green one.
For skincare and beauty products, I use Yuka.
I enjoy scanning products to learn more about the ingredients and how they compare to alternatives. It’s an easy way to become a more informed consumer without spending hours researching every item.

Honestly, where would I be without my calendar?
Probably sitting at home wondering where I was supposed to be.
Between blog deadlines, appointments, social events, Family gatherings, and everyday life, my calendar keeps everything straight. I even set reminders for most events because you just never know how distracted I may be while scrolling on social media.

If you haven’t heard of Fetch, it’s a simple app where you scan your receipts to earn points, which you can redeem for rewards.
Since I already have the receipts, it only takes a few seconds to snap a photo and collect the points.
It’s data mining, and I feel like companies are going to learn/know it anyway, so why not get a benefit from the information?
If you’re interested in trying it, here is my referral code so you can earn extra points when you sign up.
I could easily keep going because there are plenty of other apps I use regularly. But these are the ones that immediately came to mind when I thought about the things that help me get through my day.
It’s funny to think that someone who was once reluctant to even own a cell phone now depends on it for so much.

All of this was shared due to our Where Bloggers Live group prompt about what helps us get through the day.
Who doesn’t like to peek behind the scenes and hear all about the personal backstories and interesting details? The best part of this group is that I learn something new from everyone’s different perspectives.
And I bet the others will give a great insight into the things at home that get us through the day.
FYI, we don’t all post at the same time since we all have different schedules and live in different parts of the world.
