Can you imagine what it would be like inside Donald Trump’s mind? It’s a scary idea that few want to think about. But what would it be like if his feelings were personified? Unlike the Disney movie Inside Out that depicted the main character Riely’s feeling in a comical way, the creatures that inhabit Trump’s mind would be more at home in a horror movie rather than a children’s cartoon.
So, what would some of the characters in his brain look like? Let your imagination run free as we take a walk through the mind of a truly disturbed individual.
No doubt the largest inhabitant of his mind would be Ego. It’s an oversized version of Trump himself, in various poses where he is slim, with flowing hair and a perfect complexion. He is surrounded by beautiful women and tiny men who beg him for just a glance that makes them feel validated.
When Trump had the digital trading cards created, Ego was the source of his inspiration. And like these digital creations, Ego is actually without substance.
Greed is a faceless individual. It lacks a face because it is only a wide-open mouth that constantly consumes everything in striking distance of its gaping maw. It’s positioned at the end of a conveyor belt that is dumping more and more into the bottomless chasm of his appetite. Greed feeds his every waking moment.
Like the Disney version, Anger is a forever glowing individual that can explode into an inferno at the slightest touch. Anger’s skin is super thin and no one knows what will set it off. Anything from an underdone steak to what it perceives as a personal slight will cause it to erupt. But despite its frightening appearance, anger is harmless. It is full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. It can only harm those who believe that the flames are real.
Lust is a leering old man. It looks like a combination of Trump, Ebeneezer Scrooge and Jeffrey Epstein. It wears a trenchcoat and nothing else. Lust has no boundaries and assumes that anything it wants is his for the taking. Lust knows nothing of consequences because if anyone tries to hold it accountable, it will sic Anger on them.
The face of Evil Is none other than Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller combined with the nefarious visage of Nosferatu. Evil is always wringing its hands, eager to perform its next heinous act. It has the laugh of Count Dracula’s Renfield with his matching devotion to its master. Evil often aligns itself with Anger and Lust as it seeks to spread misery.
Looking like Trump Border Czar Tom Hohman, The Bully pals around with Anger to intimidate the weak. It often is seen kicking its larger companion, Insecurity, which refuses to fight back. Like Anger, The Bully only has power if you allow it. Even so, there are few in Trump’s orbit willing to tangle with The Bully.
The three-headed creature known as Hate, Blasphemy and Bigotry all wear the same white hood worn by the KKK. Hate’s face is a morphing of Trump, Roy Cohn and Roger Stone. It wears a perpetual scowl and is able to unleash The Bully and Anger at a moment’s notice.
The second head is Blasphemy. It looks remarkably similar to House Speaker Mike Johnson. It also wears a Klan hood along with sporting a cross that it keeps away from its body to avoid burning its skin. When it speaks, it is with cherry-picked Bible verses that have been distorted to fit its agenda.
Bigotry hides its face under the Klan hood, yet should it reveal itself, it would look like a doppelgänger for Pete Hegseth. It works with Anger and The Bully to attack what it calls “lesser beings”, though not directly, to avoid responsibility, while also declaring itself to be the least prejudiced one of all.
Combine the features of Trump, Kristi Noem, Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Karoline Leavitt and you have The Liar. This 24/7 disinformation machine regularly spews out falsehoods as easily as we breathe. When confronted with facts, The Liar will either tap Anger on the shoulder, whereupon it will launch into a verbal assault accompanied by a childish moniker, or it will ignore you and just walk away.
As an alternate approach, The Liar will falsely claim that it hadn’t heard/seen/read whatever issue you are addressing.
Vanity has no face. Instead, it is a mirror that will only reflect flattering things about Trump. Its power is amplified by the sycophants who regularly feed it only the things Vanity wants to hear or see. Vanity often showers itself with praise and creates awards to satisfy its need. When Vanity is attacked by a late-night talk show host or an unflattering image, it will release the twin terrors of Anger and The Bully.
All of us have a skeleton or two locked away in the closet of our minds. Trump’s closet is filled with these long dormant qualities. Love, Compassion, Honesty, Fairness, Compromise and many other positive qualities have been shoved into a closet, never to be seen again. Trump has locked the door and thrown away the key.
Unlike the other individuals that litter Trump’s brain, and must pay a moral price for being there, there are two beings that inhabit his mind at no cost. Despite Trump’s efforts to evict them, Presidents Biden and Obama continue to reside, rent free, inside Trump’s head.
Frightening, isn’t it? While most of us have some redeeming qualities, there is not one that can be attributed to Trump. Being inside his mind is a truly scary place.
