Devin’s Impact Pick of the Week

This week, I have a bit of a confession: there isn’t an Impact Pick of the Week.

That doesn’t happen often, but it does happen occasionally—and I think it’s important to explain why.

I’ve committed to recommending only investment opportunities that are legally and practically available to almost everyone in our community. That means the opportunity must be a Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF) offering and the minimum investment must be $150 or less. One of the great strengths of Reg CF is that it democratizes Investing, and I want our Impact Members to be able to participate alongside me.

Some weeks, that still leaves a dozen or more options to consider. This week, the list was much shorter.

Each Monday, Chandan prepares a report for me that organizes all newly launched Reg CF offerings into four groups:

  1. purpose-built social enterprises,

  2. women-led businesses,

  3. minority-led businesses, and

  4. other offerings.

Devin Thorpe Champion of Social Good
