Rough week on the fact that our pup, Piper, had to have ear surgery, and we were up most nights with her trying to make her feel comfortable.
I still tried to get dressed, especially since we became regulars at the vet office.
My emails are my way to share fun and positive content with you from all of the sites I visit during the week. Sure, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.

SATURDAY
Not my usual daily outfit, but we were taking a guided hike at the McDowell Mountains today as part of my New 60 activities.
I’m wearing these camo leggings OVER another pair of leggings and then one of my favorite sweatshirts (they’ve changed the design a bit, but the message is still the same).
The words are everything: Kindness is free…sprinkle it everywhere.

SUNDAY
My cousin gave me this pink/brown dress over 10 years ago, and I had pulled it out to show her. Since it was out, I decided to wear it.
I layered it over this knit shirt dress (seen with purple in the past), and I thought this striped sweater (a hand-me-down from my friend who passed) would work with it.
Originally, I styled the sweater over the other 2 dresses. I Love how the shirtdress hung open under the ruffle dress, for some reason, I didn’t love the 1st attempt.
That’s when I tried tying the sweater around my waist instead.
Style tip: Use an earring instead of a brooch to pull up extra material on a knit piece. FB Video
Bronze boots and pink earrings as my extras.

MONDAY
My Yogalates outfit with a skirt and booties thrown over it.
This skirt is a shorter tulle skirt that is perfect for layering.
The leggings were a hand-me-down from Valerie…I love how they are thicker for the wintertime.
I started off with darker ankle boots, but they looked too heavy, so I decided on my silver cowboy booties.
WEDNESDAY
I’ve worn these pants with a white top in the past, and I’m thinking about cutting them off to create long shorts.
Before I cut them off, I wanted to wear them as is and evaluate.
I paired them with this whimsical sweatshirt (worn with green camo in the past).
Print mixing is part of the look, with the blouse under the sweatshirt and my socks.
My silver sneakers are much more comfy now that I’ve broken them in (thankfully), and big statement earrings finish off the look.

THURSDAY
Tresi had the brilliant idea to layer my red plaid skirt over a tulle skirt with a graphic tee and combat boots, a nod to Vivienne Westwood as inspiration.
It’s such a fabulous idea, and even Maverick approved.
You’ve seen the tulle skirt by itself styled with zebra print.
The graphic tee is a thrifted Cardinal t-shirt, and then I added my thrifted yellow leather jacket.
FRIDAY
Well, I shortened the pants from Wednesday. At first, I cut them to be about mid calf, but they were narrower than I wanted, so I cut them again to be right above the knee.
I wore grey tights and boots (these boots must be over 12 years old) on the bottom half.
Then layered my lime green sweater over a black t-shirt and wore this asymmetrical grey cardigan that I had been wearing around the house. (I was wearing it when we were up with Piper at 2:30 am, and realized how much I like it…now there’s a way to add something back into your wardrobe).
My black tee has a sparkle graphic on it, and since some of it can be seen in the “v” of the sweater, I added a gold brooch at the “v” too. Make it seem intentional, right?

My goal with my daily looks post is to find things that help inspire you with my daily outfits and to bring a smile and kindness to your life. I truly think that clothing is our way to express our personality visually.
