What’s Inside
Why most AI agents fail inside the enterprise
Generalists have the advantage in the AI era
The mindset shift every team needs
AI agents promise to automate everything. Most don’t yet work anywhere near that level.
In this latest episode of The Venture Variety Show, Raj Singh, VP of Product at Mozilla and a two-time AI founder, breaks down what’s actually happening inside companies trying to deploy agents. The reality is far from the demos.
“A lot of these agents that are getting deployed in the enterprise, they’re just not good enough,” he said.
Raj argues the real issue isn’t just with accuracy. He points to the mindset. He pointed out that teams still approach AI as a feature, not a shift in how work gets done.
“The real unlock in organizations is not about building agents, it’s about unlocking that mindset shift,” Singh said.
That shift has big implications for hiring, too. Singh says the AI era is favoring people who can adapt quickly, cross boundaries, and rethink their workflows.
“Everyone within an organization needs to shift into this mindset of becoming a super individual contributor.”
We also talk about where founders go wrong, especially when they start with the model instead of the problem. Singh calls it the classic case of “tech before the job to be done.” And with automation accelerating across every team, the consequences are growing.
“If you’re in a white-collar job, and you are not using AI to think about how to accelerate, I would be deeply concerned,” he said.
This is a podcast conversation about what AI is and isn’t ready for, and what founders should be building instead.
