Only 5 daily outfits this week because we took blog photos twice this week, so you’ll see those looks soon.
My emails are my way of sharing fun and positive content with you from all the sites I visit during the week. Sure, you also get my free eBook when you sign up, but that’s not the best part.
The best part is you get a daily dose of positive energy.

SATURDAY
Quite the look, right? It’s one that was inspired by a street style look from this article.
I tucked the shorts up to make them shorter, but they wouldn’t stay. I included the photo of the shorts at their normal length in my email. At first, I couldn’t really see a difference, but if I were going out, I’d use some fashion tape to keep them shorter.
I would never have thought to layer this way. And everything is old.
-Jacket (worn in my working days & for a smart outfit)
-Vest (paired with black shorts and zipped up)
-Shorts (styled 5 ways)
-Shoes (worn for road trip article because they are easy on/easy off)
And did you notice my wrist warmers that I just made out of my handknit socks that had holes in them?? They basically blend, but are very functional.
SUNDAY
Another item (the skirt) from Untuck-It). It gives off holiday feels, but I wanted to wear it for unholiday times.
So I paired it with this boxy sweater from Just Be Youtiful. It doesn’t look boxy because I origami-ed it (seen in this video).
I layered a grey lace top under it and added a silver chain belt, silver flats, and silver earrings.

MONDAY
It’s our Yogalates class day, but I have a dental appointment soon after it, so I put together an outfit where I don’t have to change everything.
I just layered my favorite denim shorts (complete with thrifted belt) over my leggings and threw on a colorful cardigan (that I found for $1), and voila.
I’m wearing my star sneakers for extra whimsy and my lilac toppers on my Pair eyeglasses.
TUESDAY
This is the dress from UntuckIt that I talked about in my email…the waistband casing was too tight and I could barely put it on.
So I cut it in half…created a new waistband casing with the self belt, and cut through the top portion to make it a jacket.
It was touch-and-go for a while, but I Love how it turned out. And of course, I’ll be wearing the 2 items separately.
I wore a gold top under it, along with gold booties (and black sheer socks).
The brooch is silver, even though I wore gold…mix and match, I always say.
Heck, my earrings are burgundy…there’s a little burgundy in the navy print, but not obvious. Yet I think the color works well.

WEDNESDAY
I found this cropped sweatshirt jacket the last time we stopped at a thrift store, and I hadn’t worn it yet.
Rob was giving a talk at his prayer group today, so I wore this fabulous vintage satin maxi skirt (I’ve worn it with sneakers and a denim jacket before).
And included a pop of color with my orchid top.
I wore this leopard butterfly elastic belt (use code Jodie15 for a discount) and leopard flats.
My goal with my daily looks post is to find things that help inspire you with my daily outfits and to bring a smile and kindness to your life. I truly think that clothing is our way to express our personality visually.
