The Power of the Pivot: Letting Go to Create Space for Your Calling S5E01

  1. The Power of the Pivot: Letting Go to Create Space for Your Calling S5E01 Sheri Miter- Strengths-Based Career Coach & Visionary Strategist 18:25

I'm back! After a nine-month pause, I’m excited to return to the microphone to share what I’ve been working on, the lessons I learned, and what’s next for the show.

In this episode, I explain why the break was necessary to finish my new book, Discovering Your Calling. I also share a significant pivot in my business: the decision to stop developing a digital course and instead focus on high-impact, one-on-one mentorship for mid-career women. Tune in to hear two key lessons I learned about letting go to create space and actionable steps you can take to do the same.

In This Episode, You'll Learn:

  • Why I took a 9-month break from the podcast.
  • The big decision I made to stop creating my digital academy and what I'm doing instead.
  • Why I believe one-on-one mentorship is more powerful than a DIY course for ambitious women.
  • Two practical lessons about letting go of what no longer feels aligned.
  • Action steps to help you create space for what you are being called to do.
  • What's next for the podcast (new episodes every other week!).

Sheri Miter Serial Entrepreneur

Sheri Miter is a serial entrepreneur. Her first business was selling painted rocks to neighbors when she was 7! This entrepreneurial spirit led her to many failures but also some huge successes, such as a Chimney Cleaning business with her husband Tom, a professional firefighter, and eventually a business as a Mary Kay sales director. While in Mary Kay, Sheri led her team to six-figure years multiple times, and YES, she drove the iconic pink Cadillac for part of her career!

Despite her success as a Sales Director in Mary Kay, Sheri found herself at a crossroads after 25 years. She began to question if this was the path she truly wanted for the next decade of her life. Even after achieving her best year, she felt a sense of weariness and asked herself, 'Is it ever going to be enough?' This internal struggle led her to a brave decision- to step away from her role as a Sales Director and embark on a new journey. This journey led her to become a Gallup Certified CliftonStrengths Coach. Today, Sheri has crafted a life she loves, assisting other highly successful women to discover their 'what’s next' career. She is passionate about working with women who have achieved success making the money, but are now eager to make an impact by unleashing their God-given strengths and embracing their true calling!

When Sheri isn’t busy with her clients or recording a new podcast, she cherishes her time with her grandkids and embarks on exciting adventures with her husband. Their escapades often include the beach, biking, or out boats. At the end of a fulfilling day, they savor the beauty of the sunset with a cocktail in hand, a testament to Sheri's belief in enjoying life's journey.
