In this episode, which is a replay of one of our earlier shows, Pat Owens, a Divorce Care facilitator, discusses the importance of putting boundaries in place during your divorce process and after,. Boundaries help to foster a sense of trust, safety, and respect both during the divorce process and after. It is important to stand in your power to protect your Mental Health and well-being. Some important aspects to creating boundaries include:

  • Establishing physical boundaries early in the separation.

  • Communicating and enforcing your boundaries.

  • Recognizing the personality trait of echoism, which is an extreme need to please others that attracts narcissists.

  • Managing a narcissist personality to diffuse situations.
