Daily Looks: Week Ending 12.13.24
I will say that Wednesday’s look was the simplest to put together yet most dramatic, and it gleamed with many compliments everywhere we went. Yet as much as I loved the look, I think Friday’s was my favorite because I had to work at it and it’s like a puzzle.
Want to see these outfits in more detail? I have short videos about them on Tiktok.
I think you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.
Saturday
I found this faux leather jumper while thrifting in San Diego. I’m pretty sure I know why it ended up at the thrift store. The straps don’t stay up which is why I used my Maggie’s magnets above the buckles. As a fix-it girl, I can find the solution to most clothing fails, so anytime I’m wearing this jumper, I’m sure you’ll see the magnets too.
The jumper was the perfect opportunity to style these knee socks (found at Just Be Youtiful and she has more and will ship them plus Jtouch15 gives you a discount). I paired them with my newest black booties from Ros who believes in comfort and style. You originally saw me wearing these booties with red pants.
I wanted to have a holiday flair, so I pulled out this studded top that looks blingy. You saw it when I layered it under a strappy dress. Needless to say, I couldn’t wear the sheer top alone, so I put it over my black and white t-shirt.
To continue the bling theme, I used this pin at the waistband (I didn’t pin it, I used a magnet behind it) and blingy earrings.
Sunday
I’m calling this outfit a textural tsunami. It all started with this crochet skirt included in my clothing rental box. I realize that crochet is not something usually worn in winter, but that whole idea is a challenge for me.
I think I made it perfectly winter-appropriate with the velvet top and fuzzy vest.
Wearing a vest is one of my ideas for layering tops or dresses with statement sleeves. You don’t want to cover up the amazing sleeves but need warmth, so this works perfectly. It’s one reason I’m such a fan of vests.
Insider tip: This vest is from an online thrift site called thredUp styled back in 2017. If you’ve never used the site, go through my link for $10 off and I get $10 credit in return.
The hat is due to a messy hair day and my extra is a pin on the top. I didn’t want to wear a necklace because the earrings were shoulder scraping.
The boots tickle my fancy every time I see them. I call them my peacock boots and you can read more about the website in Wednesday’s Daily Outfit.
Monday
These pants are even a little bold for me. It’s one of the reasons I requested them from my clothing rental box. You don’t know until you try them.
I knew I wanted to wear this tweed bomber jacket with them (also from my clothing rental box) as the jacket is spectacular. If it had been a better deal, I would have purchased it.
Instead of sticking with colors in the pants and wearing neutrals, I added a red, silk blouse that I’ve had since my working days.
The pants are a little long, so I added my red sock booties to bookend the red color.
Tuesday
Yes, this is what you would consider a summer skirt. But I figured I could make it work for our cooler temps. And I went all out in pink to prove my point. Besides, I firmly believe that bright colors can be worn in winter.
To keep my bottom half warm, I wore these tall pink boots. Granted a neutral color would work also. If you needed extra warmth, you could wear a variety of hosiery from sheer hose to fleece-lined tights.
Then I chose this big pink sweater. It needed some bossing around, which I shared on Tiktok and will also share on Instagram soon.
I’m mixing metals with the silver brooch and gold sleeve pins. There’s a close-up in the title photo.
Wednesday
My friend, Kym gave me this blazer for my birthday on Sunday and it’s exactly the type of clothing I like–something interesting and unique. While it’s really just a blazer, it has this sheer material attached on one side making it so glamorous.
I feel like you could do something like this with a blazer and scarf and you know I’ll be trying it soon.
I wore the blazer over a sweatshirt dress and then added my new sexy booties from the best Online Shoe Deal website.
Insider info: You’ll hear all about the Online Shoe Deal site in Wednesday’s post and I know you’ll be over the moon about it like I am. If you don’t want to wait until Wed, I do have a discount code, COMFY10, for 10% off.
I was really proud of how I used this earring on a pendant for this necklace. You can see the details in my video on Instagram.
Thursday
I just bought this skirt with my extra discount for my birthday and I have a feeling it will be my new favorite Travel skirt. It’s so comfy and easy to wear and what you don’t see in the photos is the subtle glitter.
Since we are cruising into the holidays, I figured it’s time to wear my favorite sparkle tree t-shirt. I included my black, thrifted leather jacket and black boots my cousin handed down to me, years ago.
I used my favorite trick of adding a brooch at my waistband area and wore my Christmas ornament earrings.
Styling tip: Have a holiday graphic t-shirt that you want to wear year-round? I have the solution in this IG video.
Friday
It was dog training class today so I wore shorts, tights, and boots.
Tis the season to wear red, so I put on this long-sleeved, red top. But I definitely needed another layer, thus the vest.
But this vest is being worn upside down. You can see this photo of it right side up.
I thought it created a fun, unique look worn this way.
I used my Maggies magnets to hold the front pieces in place (one magnet is hidden in the pocket) and even added my Darling Doll necklace for extra fun.
You don’t see the plaid tights much with the boots, but I think they are like an extra surprise if you have time to really inspect the look.
I know this outfit isn’t for everyone, but I like how whimsical and interesting it is.
Thank you
