  1. Sports Psychology and Pickleball (OMG Take Five) Cheryl Fischer 4:40

If you are picking up a sport or activity for fun… for relaxation… for moving your body, and you don’t necessarily want to compete at a high level, are you able to also avoid being overly pessimistic and negative when the game doesn’t go so well?

I catch myself regularly being WAY too hard on myself when just playing a friendly game – and in today’s episode I’m talking about golf and pickleball, for example.

What we speak about and expect is what our brains look for.  So, if you are expecting not to be very good at something, your brain is going to be hard at work making sure to find you evidence that that’s true!

Probably that’s not what you’d ideally like to happen…

Let’s talk about it.

I would love to hear from you!  Have you noticed this tendency in yourself? Have a question? Have some sports psychology input? Leave me a voice note at bit.ly/omgspeaktome.

Come have a look at the free beta community that is going to become Courage Club in the new year: bit.ly/leadingladyenergy.  We’d love to have you!
