What roles do personal crises play in triggering profound spiritual awakenings?
How can we integrate spiritual practices into daily life to enhance our connection to the divine?

In this inspiring episode of “One World in a New World,” host Zen Benefiel engages with Susanne Donoghue, broadcasting from Ecuador. Susanne shares her profound journey from a childhood rooted in atheism to discovering a universe of spiritual connection that spans poetry, Reiki mastery, and leading joy retreats. This dialogue unfolds as a captivating exploration of spiritual awakening, the quest for a deeper understanding of life’s mysteries, and the transformative power of acknowledging the internal over the external.

The conversation begins with Susanne recalling her early sensations of a transcendent reality, which was markedly different from her Family’s atheist views. Her spiritual curiosity was ignited by an ethereal experience of a white light column at age 12, leading her to seek connections with the divine, despite numerous unsuccessful attempts at conventional religious conversions. It wasn’t until a near-fatal car accident at 27 that Susanne truly felt the presence of Jesus, marking a pivotal moment in her spiritual journey. This incident shifted her perspective drastically, from existential despair to a profound appreciation for life and a renewed quest for understanding spiritual truths.

Throughout the dialogue, Zen and Susanne delve into the challenges and revelations of living a spiritually aligned life. They discuss the role of personal and collective Consciousness in shaping our experiences and the importance of internal dialogue in fostering spiritual Growth. Susanne’s insights into overcoming doubt through direct spiritual experiences, the significance of questioning conventional beliefs, and her continuous effort to align with divine presence offer listeners a deeply personal look at the journey to spiritual enlightenment.

The conversation also touches on broader metaphysical concepts like the interconnectivity of all beings, the impact of quantum physics on understanding spirituality, and the role of vibration and energy in shaping our reality. Susanne’s reflections provide a compelling narrative that encourages listeners to explore their spiritual path and embrace a life of inner revelation.

The episode concludes with a powerful message about the simplicity of connecting with the divine spirit, advocating for a daily practice of acknowledging and nurturing one’s spiritual essence. This heartfelt exchange not only illuminates the path Susanne has walked but also serves as an invitation for listeners to explore their own spiritual landscapes and the infinite possibilities that await.
