Daily Looks: Week Ending 5.10.2024

It’s the time of year when loose clothing is the key. We love this time of year when it’s still warm in the mornings during our dog walks, and not too hot the rest of the day.
I tend to grab for my dresses lately, but I push myself to wear loose pants, shorts, and other options for variety.

I think you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.

Dress: Gilli-Just Be Youtiful website~~Topper: Just Be Youtiful store~~Sandals: Impo-DSW

I was helping out at a fashion show with Kym of Just Be Youtiful so I tried to wear the items I’d purchased from her store and website. When I help out with these fashion shows, I have learned it’s easiest to wear a fitted dress so I can show how to wear other items easily over it.

Both this dress and topper were purchased over a year ago. I’ve worn the topper over an all-white column with shorts last summer.

And then I added accents of color with my accessories and shoes. The fabric wrap sandals are an incredible buy from DSW because they are easier to wear than you’d think.
The slope is minimal because of the platform, the wrap ties keep your ankle supported and the material is super soft so it doesn’t rub (and isn’t as hot as leather).

Even all of the reviews on these shoes say the same thing, so I’m not alone in the praises.

In fact, Mireille bought the same sandals and wore them for our copycat outfits recently.

Skirt: Just Black jeans DIYed into skirt~~Top & Sweater: from Your Revolving Closet~~Shoes: Walking Cradles (now Ros)

The white denim midi skirt was a recent DIY project I created from a pair of white distressed jeans that came in my Fashom box. I have many, many pairs of white jeans, and decided that making this pair into a skirt would make it more versatile.

Let’s just say it wasn’t an easy project, and I messed up a couple of times. It’s still not perfect because it pulls a tad in the back instead of lying flat, but I love it.
I put the slits on each side instead of the front and left the distressing as is.

I’ve been on such a lime green kick, which is why I requested this ruffle, strapless top from Your Revolving Closet.

Don’t forget: You get a free 30-day trial for Your Revolving Closet which is easy to cancel. Even though I love shopping, I have found it an eye-opening experience to try new styles and colors.

The cardigan was also in my Your Revolving Closet box and I wore it over my shoulder because sometimes church can be chilly.

These zebra print heels always make me feel sexy as well as my shoulder-scraping earrings made by Judy.

Joggers: A New Day-Goodwill~~Vest: Apt 9-Kohls~~Sneakers: Guess-Goodwill

Dog training day so these new joggers were the perfect option. I found these on our recent Goodwill trip and they were only $2. They are incredibly lightweight and a rust color that I don’t have much of in my closet.

I wouldn’t have thought to pair them with pink except this pink top was hanging on my organizing rod and the two colors looked interesting together.

This top is from my rental box, Your Revolving Closet. I didn’t want to cover up the poofy sleeves, so I wore my white Moto jean vest with it. I’ve had this vest for ages.

Then I added in multicolor fun with my thrifted sneakers (which I wear so much more than I ever thought I would), my girl necklace (available from Just Be Youtiful-they are all unique so reach out and ask her what she has available), and my earrings.

Dress: no label- Goodwill~~Kimono: Maurices~~Sandals: Liz Claiborne-thrifted

This dress was one of the $2 purchases from our recent Goodwill trip. I think it’s a kid’s dress because it’s an XL yet it was in the women’s dresses.

It has red straps that I wanted to cover up with this green print kimono. It’s like the example of print mixing using my striped top and a floral strapless top. However, in this example, the stripes are everywhere.

I found this kimono at Maurices back in Denver. Maurice’s was never a store I went into until our mall was under construction and I didn’t have many options. And I was pleasantly surprised at how many cute things they had.

I’ve worn this kimono in the past at its full length, but today with the maxi I wanted it to be cropped.

So I pulled out one of my scarf clips from my Tools of the Trade and used it to pull up the long hems of the kimono.

I added my green sandals (even though the green of the kimono has more blue in it) and gold earrings.

Dress: Smak Parlour-Your Revolving Closet~~Sandals: J Crew Factory

My new Your Revolving Closet box came yesterday, and the funny thing is there were two mustard gold dresses in it. I wore this one for an event at Just Be Youtiful’s Boutique because it would be easy to layer over.

The dress had black trim on the sleeves and neck, so I added the scarf as a belt with one of my scarf clips. I also added a cat pin at the neckline which might be easier to see in the title photo.

The leopard sandals kept everything in the same vein (although red ones would be cute too).

Friday

Pants: Just Be Youtiful~~Top: The Limited~~Shoes: Pashion-won in giveaway

I’m wearing the crinkle joggers I just picked up at Just Be Youtiful. They are larger than the normal size which is perfect for the hotter weather since they aren’t as form-fitting.

I certainly could have worn an orange top, but I wanted to show how you don’t always need to match everything.

This green top was one I wore when working over 10 years ago, and I’m wearing it with a bralette.

I brought in the orange color with my sandals, bracelet and glasses.

Thank you
