Daily Looks: Week Ending 3.1.24
It’s been a glorious week here in Arizona and I love how the colors in my outfits play their part. It’s always my goal to wear a variety of items each week if possible, and I think I succeeded.
I bet you would enjoy it if you signed up for the emails below. Besides the free eBook, my email family gets personal tidbits of what’s going on in my life along with other happenings, sales, information, giveaways, extra photos, and interesting articles.
Insider shopping discount: For the month of March 2024, Masai Copenhagen is giving my readers 40% off their purchases. Use code March40 and this link to try out the brand. It does exclude new arrivals & markdowns.
Saturday
The skirt and top are from a new brand I’m working with called Masai Copenhagen. It is a brand inspired by women and made with quality materials. I like that they are size-inclusive with items from XS to XXL. I find that the sizing runs big, so make sure to look at the size chart.
What you don’t see, is this blouse has a peplum tie at the waist. It didn’t look right to leave it untucked with this skirt, but later in the day I untucked it to wear with tighter jeans, and it was adorable. The tie is adjustable so you can make it fit tighter or looser around your waist which is nice.
These longer denim skirts are everywhere. If you remember. I DIYed a midi length denim skirt last year, but it’s nice to have this longer one too.
The yellow shirt is short-sleeved, so I added a turquoise cardigan that used to be my bestie’s mom’s. Notice how the cardigan acts more like a wrap. That’s because I just buttoned the last button BEHIND me. As shown in this video.
Then I added a thrifted yellow belt and wore these yellow ankle boots that are still available on Amazon. They booties are very comfy and come in a bunch of different colors.
Sunday
This outfit is very similar to last week’s Tuesday’s outfit. This is the time of year that I love wearing shorts and tall boots together. In fact, I really love these boots because they are slim and don’t fall down.
This top and blazer are from Your Revolving Closet. I showed a close up of the top in the title photo so you can see the cutouts. Sure, I could have worn my adhesive bra, but I decided to wear my red lacy bralette instead.
Both could be considered items that I wouldn’t wear as much which is why this rental service is so nice.
PLUS you get a 30 day free trial, so it’s no risk.
I’m wearing one of my bling pins in one of my favorite ways…at my waistband.
When the day warmed up, it was easy to remove the jacket, and the look was still cute.
Monday
This pink linen dress is another product from Masai Copenhagen and it comes in a wide variety of colors that are perfect for springtime. I can see this being a go-to dress in our hundred-degree days since it’s linen PLUS A-shape.
Since it’s not that hot yet, I layered a boho ivory vest over it (worn years ago in the winter OVER my yellow leather jacket).
Then to give it shape, I added a scarf as a belt. To keep the “belt” together in the front, I used my handy dandy scarf clip.
To keep the dress casual, I wore my white sneakers (with the sequin star on the side) and tassel earrings.
I’m out of the habit of wearing bracelets, LOL, otherwise there would be something on my wrist.
Tuesday
I wanted to wear this blazer one more time before I sent it back as it’s part of the rental clothing service, Your Revolving Closet. Truthfully, I was considering buying it because I LOVE the colors, so who knows? I really think it would be perfect for my closet because it’s lightweight enough for most of the year. Yet my goal with Your Revolving Closet was to curtail my shopping, haha.
Anyway, the velvet shorts are great for springtime and I also wanted to wear these boots before it gets too hot.
I don’t know if you can see, but I have the cutest button covers on. Last weekend I bought them at Just Be Youtiful, and she has more for a great deal if you’re interested. Reach out to her on her FB page and she will ship them to you. Don’t forget to tell her I sent you.
I’m wearing my faux ponytail, and I tied one of my skinny scarves around it.
Wednesday
I call this my multi-polka dot look. Not only does the blouse and sweater have polka dots on it, but so does my headband. And the leopard booties could be considered polka dots too.
Sally, from Within a World of My Own, talked about her love of yellow with olive green when we showcased our yellow jackets. Sally’s comment inspired me to put together this skirt and sweater.
The only thing new in the outfit is these earrings that were part of a swag bag from a women’s event this week. They are from a local designer named Rad & Rae and these are called the Big Al earrings.
Other times you’ve seen these clothing items:
Blouse: Styled with pearls
Sweater: As a backdrop outfit for different purse styles
Skirt: Worn as a top AND a skirt
Boots: Part of a winter white look
Thursday
Today was Tai Chi, so I wanted my outfit to work for class and then be cute enough for errands after.
I found this pair of burgundy skinny jeans at Goodwill for $1 and I know the brand is one of those high end ones. They have a ton of stretch and are basically like leggings.
Then I wore a long sleeve, hoodie t-shirt (with my favorite saying, “Don’t act your age, Own your age.”)
My topper is such a colorful cardigan that can be worn inside out too.
These floral sneakers have been a huge success in my closet. I wasn’t sure I’d wear them much, but I feel like they go with everything. If I could find a print like them in a brand of comfy sneakers, I’d buy them and purge this pair.
Thank you
