Margaret Keenan, a 90-year-old grandmother became the first person in the world to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine outside of a trial in Britain on Tuesday. She enthusiastically received the Pfizer-BioNTech shot at her local hospital, a week before she turns 91.
This has given realistic hopes to billions across the globe of getting the vaccine soon that can help them get back to their lives like the one they lived not so long ago.
In my part of the world – the Serum Institute of India, the world’s largest vaccine producer by volume, is close to signing a supply contract with the country’s central government and likely to fix prices at 250 rupees per dose of the vaccine, as per a report.
