Doing the Local Work with Rosemary Ketchum

  1. Doing the Local Work with Rosemary Ketchum Sarah & Beth 23:20

We’re sharing an episode of our Pantsuit Politics Premium show, More to Say, that we released to our Premium subscribers today. To support the show and get access to content like this multiple times each week, subscribe to our Premium content on our Patreon page or Apple Podcasts Subscriptions.

We’re delighted to welcome Rosemary Ketchum back to Pantsuit Politics. Rosemary joined us in June 2020 when she became the first out transgender public servant in West Virginia’s history. Since then, Rosemary has done awesome work in her community and we wanted to invite her back for an update as part of an upcoming Pride Month series we’re working on.

When we reached out, we discovered Rosemary is running in an election happening TODAY in hopes of being elected as Wheeling’s next mayor. We couldn’t let her election day go by without sharing this energizing and encouraging conversation with you. As you’ll hear, Rosemary is so smart and charismatic. We’re wishing her the absolute best in her election today.

If you’re in Wheeling, make sure you get out and cast your vote for Rosemary today!

Pantsuit Politics is a podcast for real conversations that help us understand politics, democracy, and the news - while still treating each other like thoughtful human beings. We take a different approach to the news; our political analysis blends hard facts with important social and cultural undercurrents so you don’t miss the big picture. Over years of discussing everything from abortion to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, we established basic rules of engagement, which we describe in our books, Now What? How to Move Forward When We’re Divided (About Basically Everything) (2022) and I Think You’re Wrong (But I’m Listening): A Guide to Grace-Filled Political Conversation (2019). Listeners describe us as “America’s political therapists” and “our trusted, smarter friends who can help us make sense of the world.”
