In my book review, I stated Jane’s Secret is a dual timeline Christian historical fiction by Jennifer E Tirrell. We quickly meet Jane, a wealthy young woman who stands to inherit a house and land once she marries. But her father dies, her stepfather is mean and greedy, and her life takes a different course. I loved her bold personality despite the limitations set on women of the day.
We also meet modern Kaitlyn who was given an old key that has been passed down through the generations. This key, she is told, will bless her and her posterity. When she finds a letter that gives her more information about the key, she decides to go to England to investigate. What starts out as curiosity is soon laden with romance, mystery, and potential murder.
The romance will keep you smiling. The history will keep you learning. The twists and turns will keep you reading. Definitely add this book to your TBR!
