Welcome back to the willGather Podcast. I’m Nicole Will, and if you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, thank you for your patience. Over the past year, life has stretched me in ways I never expected. I’ve experienced incredible joy, heartbreaking loss, new opportunities, and powerful reminders of what really matters. Through it all, I found myself returning to the same themes that have always shaped this podcast: caregiving, connection, community, and the people who walk beside us through life’s hardest and most beautiful moments.
This episode is a little different. It’s just you and me. I’m sharing some personal reflections from this past year, from supporting my best friend after a life-changing accident, to the lessons caregiving continues to teach me, to my new role with Rendever and why I believe social Health is one of the most important conversations we need to be having. I’ll also share what’s ahead for the podcast, why I’m launching a new thought leadership series in partnership with Rendever called The Future of Community, and why I believe the future of healthy Aging has less to do with living longer and everything to do with how we care for one another.
I thought the best way to come back was simply to sit down and talk with you. No guest. No agenda. Just a chance to share where life has taken me, what I’ve been learning along the way, and where I hope we’re headed together.
One last thing I’ve been reminded of this summer as I’ve taken time away from the podcast: don’t underestimate the power of fun. Go to the concert. Jump in the lake. Take the trip. Sit on the patio a little longer. Laugh until your stomach hurts. We spend so much of our lives waiting for the “right time,” but joy has a way of healing us in the middle of ordinary days. Get outside. Be with people you Love. Make memories. Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is simply live.
