MRI-Guided Focused Ultrasound for Parkinson’s Tremor: What You Need to Know | Parkinson’s Today

Movement disorder specialist Dr. John Legge explains MRI-guided focused ultrasound — an incisionless alternative to DBS for Parkinson’s tremor. Learn how it works, who it’s best for, its limitations compared to DBS, and the critical rule about treatment ordering.

Dr. Legge is a board-certified neurologist and fellowship-trained movement disorders specialist focused on Parkinson’s disease. He practices at Eisenhower Health in Palm Springs, CA and believes listening to patients is key to guiding the right treatment.

Parkinson’s Today was presented by the Michael J. Fox Foundation and Parkinson’s Resource Organization (PRO) in 2026.
