Safety Tips for Home Exterior Steps

Problem: Steps are cluttered and/or in poor condition

Solution: Clear all clutter from stairs, discontinue stacking things on the stairs for the "next trip" up or down. Repair any steps and/or step coverings as necessary

Problem: No handrails or grab bars/handrails are unstable/in poor condition

Problem: Step surfaces are slick

Solution: Apply anti-slip tape to the surfaces of the steps
