Jamal is a Brooklyn-born educator, coach, and leadership strategist who partners with nonprofits and purpose-driven organizations to strengthen leadership, equity, and impact. He is the Co-Founder, Chief Innovation Officer, and MISSION Coach with North Star Partners, drawing on more than twenty years in nonprofit leadership, including founding The Minority Inclusion Project and Thought Partner Solutions. He is completing his doctorate in educational leadership and organizational innovation, studying how moral conviction, shared values, and character help leaders sustain diversity, equity, and inclusion commitments under pressure.

In that capacity he helps clients throughout the organizational hierarchy break through to their next level of leadership performance and effectiveness. His professional experience in the public and private, profit and non-profit sectors allows him to transfer lessons across business industries, organizational structures, and leadership needs.
