In this episode, I not only revisit the never-ending saga of Medicare and Medicaid and the failure of these systems for many Americans but I alsom look at one particular man. His name was Peter David. He was an author, and he was a star among comic book fans for his amazing body of work for the major publishers of science fiction and super-heroes.
But…when he needed someone to leap tall buildings in a single bound for him, when he and his Family thought that they could rely on the various insurances, private and government sponsored, to help him when he needed it most, well those same entities became the villians of the story.
And that isn't right. Not in America.
I also discuss the latest, laughable increase in Social Security for those who receive that benefit and how the recent inflation and Medicare price hike news basically wipes that out before it even takes effect.
I always ask that each of us strive to be kind, but to paraphrase one of Peter David's heroes, maybe it's time that HULK SMASH!
