Running a business is very much like running a new project every day.  While there is always a desire to see the business run ‘smoothly’, business owners know that every day brings new challenges, which is exactly why project management is so critical to a company.  If every project ran without daily changes and interruptions, there’d be no need for project management.  But since projects – like businesses – are constantly facing challenges, project management skills can be very useful to business owners.  The goal of this podcast is to introduce you to some of those critical skills.

Robert Massoud is a full-time lecturer in the management department at Bryant University.  Robert spent 35 years as a project and operations manager at companies including Kronos, Fidelity Investments, and CVS Health.  During that time he worked on both operational improvement and product release projects and now shares those experiences with students at Bryant as the coordinator of the school’s project management concentration within the management major.  Robert has also taught project management at Northeastern University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and Bristol Community College, and is the past president of the Rhode Island chapter of the Project Management Institute, a global organization supporting project management around the world.
